Got an e-mail from our church secretary - its SNOWING (and sticking!) in Comfort - 87 miles from me! The kids in the church school will be having lllloooonnnnngggg recess today - out making snowmen, forts, snowballs, and having the time of their lift!

We swung through McDs on the way home from school. It's cold and rainy and hot french fries was needed.

Now we can push supper back a little too.

We are monitoring the weather. Praying it stays above freezing.

Momala, I hope those kids have a blast. Snow, when you are not use to having it, is so much fun.

Lucy was terrible. Well, actually the concept was good but we felt cheated by the ending. It was disappointing.

About 30 minutes from here is a second showing theater.

All the movies that are on right now at the big theater chains will be shown there when they leave the big theater. For only $3 each.

Theater experience for less than half the price.

I haven't been to this one. Theater seats are not my friend.

But mom and dad often enough. And C and her BF have gone.

Think mom took all her grands one time for a day out of the house during one of their breaks.

They all said it is a nice theater.

Remember what I said on the thread about Canadian Targets closing and how these types of stores go in cycles? Kohls will be next.

Snow totals for tomorrow went from 3-6" to 6-9" in the forecast! brought in enough wood for the fire for two days. Grocery shopped, hunkering down! If I don't lose power, I will be on TG all w/e ! Just a warning.

Oh I am so prepared. I plan on touching up paint trim and doing laundry and purging one more closet should things get too snowed in. Sounds boring and uninteresting but all things that need to be done so I will feel good and productive. You do know what I mean about that as a mother!

Yes, I think that sounds great. All the things that you could do any normal day but have too many other options, being snowed in is a nice excuse to get it all done. Just make sure you don't get too busy and forget about the geeks :)

My taco casserole was only so so and I got really aggravated because everyone was standing in the kitchen watching me cook and yelling about how hungry they were. Then DH stole a bite out of the pot and dropped it down my shirt... Sigh.

It called for layering the chips and meat and cheese and then baking it. The chips were all soggy. Otherwise it would have been better. Someone made some for church and it had beans and I think fritos in it. But it was like taco stuff. It was cold. It was good. I dunno. Mine wasn't what I was expecting.

I know what you talking about NJN. I have also seen it done with flour tortillas. Would corn tortillas work?

I think it definitely would have been better layered with tortilla's. I used corn tortilla chips for my son but I could easily have used corn tortilla's. Would have been so much better. I need to find out that other recipe.
