I have heard it stresses the heart and can do wonky things to your blood pressure. Maybe just check in with your doctor? But, if you are already cleared for things like hot tubs and saunas, you should be fine.

Yoga looks like something I could have really enjoyed when I was younger. I use some of the stretching to help keep me as limber as possible. No. I don't do positions really. I'd end up on my nose.

But I would not do it in a heated room.

Shoot I don't even like a room too warm for just sitting and doing nothing.

I'd feel like I was smothering.

But if you like it, and it doesn't mess with your BP and stuff, go for it.

I do hatha yoga, not bikram. But I know people who do bikram.

Muscles loosen up in the heat, and you're less likely to stretch too far and injure yourself.

If you don't mind sweating, it's good.

Don't let a teacher push you too far, though.

A yoga teacher who pushes you beyond your instinctual limits is a bad yoga teacher.
