I took a quick look, it looks like about 6 inches. So far. The weather reports are now saying it isn't as bad as they'd expected.

I'll wait for the wind to slow down, then decide whether to unpack the snow blower, or just use the shovel.

And a push broom for the cars.

It's hard to tell here just south of Boston, there is so much drifting. It's whiteout conditions and the wind is howling.

Drifts about 3 feet high.

I'd guess maybe 8 to 12 inches so far. Still snowing mightily.

Very glad we haven't lost power so far. I heard about half of Nantucket island is without power now.

That's funny, ed, I just heard a Boston weather guy say New York has NO snow.

The coast is getting the worst of it here. Scituate MA, where I used to live, is getting clobbered as usual with coastal flooding, evacuating lots of folks.

IKWTDS, I woke up thinking about the two of you this morning. Glad you're ok! Does DD see it as an adventure, with no school and all?

Lily, I need one of those covers myself. Honey is afraid she'll melt if she gets her tootsies wet and heaven forbid if it's actually raining! It's a long story about the abuse I believe she suffered as a puppy before I got her, but she has potty issues. That's why my condo is perfect with the tile and wood floors and no carpet. I put down a towel in my bathroom in case I don't hear her get up in the night. Comes in handy when you travel.

My doggie loves this snow. Just had a good romp while I shoveled the path to the garage to get the snowblower.

We'll start creating the pathways for the snow carnival in the back yard in a few hours.

LOL! G was SHOCKED when we were looking for the lake house in KY. Almost every single house there has at least one of these. And there's about 50 places on the road to the lake that sells them. $699 INSTALLED!!!!!

God bless Nantucket. They are getting creamed in this storm. The whole island has no power, and major flooding. Hurricane force winds.

Even the 2 plus feet of snow we're getting here is only a minor inconvenience. We have heat and power and a dry cellar, thank you God.

Your prayers for these people in coastal areas are appreciated. Some will have homes washed away or otherwise ruined.

Ok just finished the first pass on the driveway, should have done it sooner. 2 FT+ of snow. And its still going strong with the winds and such. I have to shovel the deck but need to take a break now.

FWM, we put all our autopays on a prepaid card. We put $500 on it a month and that pays our internet, electric, phones and direct tv. If our other card gets hacked, which it did at Home Depot, we just have to change that one and not change autopay too. Just an idea. Sorry this happened again!

I actually have a travel points Visa, that I never use.

I might switch the auto pays to that one, and used my cash rewards for the day to day stuff.

It would save me from this crapola in the future. wink
