my arms and back ache from shoveling and such. I am done trying to save the deck. Let the Fckr collapse and the insurance will pay up. this is a bad storm. Don't think I have seen worse in the years I've lived here.
The deck is not worth permanent injury to your back, ever. Let it go.
AMEN!!
flan
Sing it...Let it goooooo....let it gooooo...
the cold never bothered you anyway
Sorry. I had to go there.
I hope hope you stay safe IKWTDS. The deck isn't worth it. Your insurance can replace it, but can't replace you!

I won't sing let it go... I'll just tell you that we had to open all the windows because our house got into the 80's today.

I hate you right now. I just went out on my deck. I cannot get over the amount of snow. Its surreal. DDs friend is sleeping over and we are still up just amazed at the snow.

It's been years since I've seen snow!

And just for the record my deviled eggs were a huge hit. I didn't even have one to bring home to DH. He was disappointed. Everyone loved my cupcakes. Even after I told them what an utter fail it was. But they still loved them. I stuck a heart shaped sucker in the top of each one. Everyone thought they were so cut. They said they tasted like they had strawberry jelly in the middle. I'm just glad they liked them.
Now I'm up at almost midnight making a loaf of bread for my dental hygienist. Why you ask? Because she wanted home made bread and home made jelly.

Packing some up now to send to the southern geeks.
I lived in it in Chicago. Google "Blizzard of '78." I was 13 and had a paper route. I delivered papers in eight foot snow drifts. Both my sisters had routes too. My mom would get up and help us fold the papers and put them in the little bags. Then she'd help dress us in our snow suits and get out the door. We each earned a t-shirt that said, "I survived the blizzard of 78."

This is worse than 78

I lived through 78 and was smart enough to get out.
