Sorry NJN. Being stuck in the middle sucks. Ultimatums suck. It sounds like a very frustrating situation.

Thanks.  I'm going to have to break down and issue the ultimatum.  But then there will be yelling and screaming.  I hate yelling and screaming.  Sigh.

Yeah so you walk away when the yelling starts.  You have to calmly lay down the rules of the household then give it a day for tempers and emotions to calm down.  What else can you do?

Not much.  I'm just not a confrontational person.  I hate these situations.

I miss Wendy's. Ours caught fire last year and they aren't rebuilding.

NJN, you are in Texas. Learn to use a lasso for those times when DS is blowing his top.

Of course I am kidding. I have no advice.

Just some encouragement.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

And what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

If I had a really good camera I would capture the scene outside. The moon is pure and bright, not big, but is casting a light on the lawn that is so exceptional. I love this part of a post storm. Gorgeous.

Sounds lovely.

Is it really quiet? I love that quiet that falls at night after a big snow.

Very quiet.  In the early morning I will hear the birds.  I have a red headed woodpecker with black & white feathers hanging around.  This is what keeps me living here.  The wild life.

It snowed about 5 inches this afternoon right before the evening commute. There was a bad accident on the freeway going in the opposite direction as me on my way home from my last store today. It was at least a 10 car/truck pile up. The traffic was backed up for miles and miles. All you could see as you passed was debris all over the road and the car's seats sticking up on the side of the road. It wasn't slippery, but all the trucks on the highway kick up the snow from the side of the road and it was practically a white out. When I was stopped at the exit, I could see that it wasnt really snowing much at all.

I hope that was just material damage and not real injuries.

We have a couple of those too.

I love the birds we have.

Our owl has come back. I hear him but I have yet to see him. He is huge. If it is the same one of course.

That's scary. I wish everyone would slow down and be more careful.

I dont know what kind it is. I have only seen it maybe 3 times in the 20 years we have lived here. But it is about 2 feet tall.

I have an owl living in a tree nearby the deck. When I can see him he is beautiful, large, white with some black or charcoal color in him. He can be loud. I don't think it s a screaming owl, but something like that.

Dad has a work area out here in the yard. He was out there one night really late and he said one screeched like a banshee right behind him. He said it scared the poop out of him. He said he had to sit down cause it startled him so.

If you knew my dad, you would know how funny that actually is.

You should Google breeds of owls for your area and see what you come up with.

I saw on the news that the helicopter from Mayo was there. I am not a praying person but I am sending positive healing thoughts to the people there.
