Got an e-mail from the fellow in charge of our high school class telling me that I had died. News to me. Evidently one of the classmates has a friend who went to the same college and this friend told him I was dead. FYI I am not. Doing fine and feeling quite well, thank you.
I wonder how these things get started. A little upsetting as I am at an age that it would not be a surprise, actually.
Ok that is unsettling especially since you were on distro of the email! Wow, yeah go to the reunion and or write a clever response back. Have fun with it!

I'm glad you were on the distribution list - it could have been awkward if you didn't know and then people started calling your wife to ask where to send the flowers . . . .

That might be upsetting to your wife!

Glad you are still among us! Funny, I had the same thing happen to me...I stopped getting notices of alumni events, but wasn't sure why, until I happened to run into someone who was rather surprised to see me. Seems as if someone saw MY MOTHER'S obituary (she and I share the same name, or did until I married and took DH's last name) and told the the person who coordinated the class stuff that it was ME.
Honestly, I still run into it on facebook sometimes, a classmate who never got the memo that I was still living.
