Shake your head all you want, still doesn't explain what it means. I have no idea what it is either. Is it just your favorite show?
If I have to pick a ring just on the look and with nothing attached to it, I like Once upon a time.

Sorry, Lily - but to be on the internet as often as the geeks are and not know what a fandom is is a bit bizarre. It goes a bit beyond favorite show - Trekkies are a fandom. It is being a huge fan of a show to the point you obsess a bit.

I'm not a fan of any of the shows except maybe Harry Potter. Why isn't there a Walking Dead one or an X Files or Lost? Those were/are the shows I have fandom for.
Hunger Games, Supernatrual, and I know Zelda cause the boys play it.
I don't even know what some of those are.
Can I still be on the board or is my membership revoked?

I picked based on look of the ring. The 3 I picked are ones I would wear, not based on whether I'm a fan or not. I'm not really a fan of any of the movies/shows.
If we are going favorite fandom, Harry Potter all the way, with Sherlock and Hunger games rounding it out. If we are going looks, Zelda, Doctor Who, Frozen.

LOL.
I completely understand what fandom is. I don't understand picking a ring about it. Is there artwork somewhere of actual rings we have to pick from? Is it just which genre of fiction we prefer because of the story lines? Is it which stories have the hottest cast? That's what's confusing to me about this thread. What are we picking?

You are really over-thinking this. Pick what you like - ring or show. There are no rules. It's chaos, man!
I like the Supernatural ring; it's pretty and dainty. My favorite fandom on the list is Harry Potter - but not the ring.

"I take it you cannot see the pic in the OP." - cadiver
There's a pic in the op? Not on my screen there isn't. Not even the funny little "broken image link" indicator. This is a screen capture on the OP that I see (it's full screen sized, so I'm just going to give the address):
Now that I understand it's an actual wearable ring, I looked up some fandom rings in Google images and there were several I liked, but if I have to limit it to just one, I'd have to pick the one from Stargate. The little Stargate actually rotates around the ring! That's just so cool!

That's very interesting - because that second sentence is not in my OP at all, and I never typed it. And wouldn't have - I don't particularly care for the divergent ring.

I want to know how and why my post was changed. And it concerns me that someone can do this, and then post a link to it. Because I NEVER typed that second sentence.

That second line is the title for the picture. Not sure why it looks like it does for WYSIWYG, but I don't think your post was actually changed. Here's what it looks like with the red x for the photo. That's got to be where the added line comes from.
