Of course the wait time is that long. It's Valentine's day.

Oh well. Yours will taste better and it wont cost so much and that means something else nice later on.

Bright side and all.

It was easier to indulge DH than to argue. No biggie.

We had an accidental lunch, with some old friends of ours.

It was such fun!smile

Why was it accidental?

When Glen called my cell, I didn't pick up, I was busy.

When I heard the message, I was a little confused. It sounded like we had made plans. (Which, we hadn't)confuse

I called back, and Glen's wife Ann, answered. I told her we could meet up at Central Market, and go to lunch.

Turns out, their CPA is also named Paula.

They had really planned to drop off their paper work for taxes, to her.

Imagine their surprise, when Wayne and I showed up!

LOL!

We had a nice lunch, and a great visit! What a happy accident!smile

The Comedy show I went to was awesome! We had a great time. Blankie you need to check it out. The Larcom Theatre in Beverly. Jefferson starship is playing there next month. It is one of those old theatres where every seat is awesome. During intermission I went outside and it was already snowing. We were near the ocean and so it was blowing. But stayed for the whole show. Went back to my friend's house and headed home. Conditions weren't too good but I made it!

FWM, that is the best type of meetup.

NAOW, exciting about house shopping. Don't settle is my advice. This is your forever home.

Heated seats are the BEST!!! You will love them.

Our dealership couldnt find heated seats in a car we liked so they had them installed in the one that best met our needs. It's an option if you can't find one you want and they try to upsell you the top of the line model. They tried that with us and when we wouldnt budge, they offered to install them on the other model.

What is better than heated seats is a heated steering wheel. I put both the heated seats and wheel on when I first start off on my long commute.  End up turning off the heated seats,  the steering wheel is  heavenly in the NE.

I have never heard of a heated steering wheel! That would be amazing too. But do your hands get warm?

They tried to get us to buy remote start but it wasn't worth the price of what else came with the model that had remote start - and DH was too cheap to get both installed. Lol

Heated steering wheels are awesome.  You don't wear driving gloves and quite frankly, it keeps all of you warm.  It doesn't get hot as heated seats do, just enough to take the edge off.  It's dreamy.biggrin

I won't have the heated steering wheel. I've heard it's awesome, but I've never had it so won't miss it. He found one like what I want in West Virginia, but it being Saturday, he was having trouble getting a hold of someone at that dealership. He already tried to upsell me to leather seats, but I told him to widen his search area instead

This was actually a joint car shopping trip. My dad was in the market for a new truck. Which he is currently behind us in driving home. I'll get to pick mine up next weekend

Heated seats rock!
I've been out all day so I need to catch up.
We were just in Publix and a lady walked by with a little boy in the cart. He looked maybe 3. He was holding a plastic knife. As they walked by he looked at me, swung the knife and said shank WTF?! His mom just kept walking like it was nothing.

That sounds good. I like smaller theaters. I pay a boatload to see shows in Boston and can't see a thing in the huge theaters.

Any car stereo place will install a remote start (in most cars) for less than $200.

I can't put it in my Prius because it's not MINE.

It's 30 degrees, and we've got about 1/4 inch of new snow. I salted the path from the street to the front door, because I want the Chinese Food guy (Jong) to get to the door safely.

Kids are supposed to come over Sunday, but the snow might stop them. Last I heard it could be an inch, or it could be a foot. We'll see.

Our temps are really dropping. It was 54 at a little after 7. Almost an hour and a half later and it's 48 now. Going down to going down to 15 or better tonight. Only getting to 30 tomorrow.

Yes. I am hoping for snow.

Yes and I am NOT impressed. It has taken them months to get me through the app process and I'm still doing the runaround.

I'm normally the first person to rescue but I'm getting pretty sick of their mess. I've been looking up breeders lately.

The rescue people are super picky and it discourages people from trying to adopt. Just make sure the dog isn't super inbred.

I was wrong.....
DH and I had planned on a quiet evening alone. DD and her family came over so we could celebrate DGS's birthday together!!! A wonderful surprise! Since I was gone for his birthday, they postponed the celebration and didn't tell me. So, we had angel food cake, fresh strawberries, cool whip, and ice cream together. Made Valentine's day extra special for me.
Oh, how I love them! heart.gif

I know what you have said. You said breeders are puppy mills. You said you'd never get a dog from a breeder because of the way they treat them. Adopt, don't shop. I thought that was the mantra.

First of all, I'm not getting a puppy. I'm adopting an older dog whether from a rescue or a breeder. So why don't you keep your uninformed thoughts to yourself until you have all the facts.

NJN, someone can own one female dog, have her breed and hand raise all the puppies. That is not a puppy mill. I think that would be a fine environment for a puppy.
I have several friends who have one breeding female. The female is a family pet and the puppies are well loved. The owners vet the future owners of their puppies as well. And they are picky about their puppies new homes.
I can not imagine Vette buying a true puppy mill dog.
