there are plenty of responsible breeders that take pride in preserving the integrity of a breed

When I spoke of breeders on this board I was quickly informed that ALL breeders are puppy mills.  Funny how that changes depending on who says it.

I have never changed my stance. We bred dogs and had a stud male. We were selective of the females we bred with and the families that bought the dogs. As a result, we had multiple litters of puppies over the years, none with the common genetic defects of our breed. Our puppies were highly desired for that.

I'm tired an cranky and DD us getting on my nerves. Plus tomorrow is supposed to be 42 for the high and I'm scheduled to be an outside greeter for the early service. It's really windy too. I don't want to stand outside at 9 am and freeze my tootsies off!

Well, I personally have no problem with breeders.  My lab came from one.  He's a really great dog.  But when I said something on this board I was attacked for it and told that ALL breeders were puppy mills.

If you have "no problem with breeders", I don't really understand where your hostility is coming from.

I have no hostility. I just think people shouldn't talk out of both sides of their mouth.

I already said I'm not buying a puppy so I'm not sure what your point is

Intentions and perception are two different things

as for the second part, I haven't seen anyone doing that

I got Pebbles and Bambam from a breeder who just didn't care and was only in it for the money. A puppy mill. They would not breed and when we got them they were a dirty, tangled mess.

They would not stop touching each other. They didn't trust humans at all. My brother brought them in and sat them on the floor and they didn't move for a long time. I finally got in the floor and quietly talked to them and let them come to me.

When I took them to get them cleaned up, they were in pretty good shape. No fleas or other problems. So that was a good thing.

They cut off nearly 2 pounds of hair from these two tep cup poodles. When done, they weighed a total of 4.9 pounds. That was them together. They were very small. But they were not under fed.

They had one liter while I had them. Pebbles gave birth to five puppies. And yes. That is unheard of with those small dogs. Two were born dead and they probably weighed less then an ounce.

I miss my Pebbles and Bambam.

We have been asked a couple times if we would breed Monster. But he has been fixed since we got him.

I have never heard of a heated steering wheel! That would be amazing too. But do your hands get warm?

They tried to get us to buy remote start but it wasn't worth the price of what else came with the model that had remote start - and DH was too cheap to get both installed. Lol

I had never heard of heated seats until someone mentioned them here...

That damn wind cuts right through you.

We dealt with that yesterday, complete with tiny little snowflakes blowing right at you. Driving was hard because you couldn't see.

Yes.

And I don't mean that as a slam or anything. Please don't think that.

Then why comment at all? And I'm not being snarky.

 It's your prerogative to comment.

And it's mine to say: I can't imagine getting upset about such a simple thing. I'm GLAD that I get to DEAL WITH someone who is always there for me, even when I'm cranky.

What ever Flan. I didn't say anything about being upset. I didn't say you couldn't feel any way that you choose to feel.

I was making a statement on MY feelings about it. MY thoughts about it.

I don't have to deal with it. And I am happy about that.

Personal choice. It's a good thing.
