Ohhhhhhhh, good one.  Make her get you a BIG ring.  And then break it off.  And keep the ring!

DD learned about counting money and such in school. Perhaps its up to the individual school district to decide what is taught? What I can't stand is getting your change back by the cashier just shoving it all, including the receipt in your hand in one lump. I then have to stand there and re org it; putting the change its proper place in the wallet, then the bills, then putting the receipt in the bag. Its annoying.

The other day I was talking to a lady about disability and what I know about the system. She'd had spinal surgery and lost feeling in one of her feet. She was truly disabled. She said she applied and was denied four times. I didn't understand why for the life of me. A week later she tells me that she's here illegally. Sigh.

Even if the lady was legal, why would the loss of feeling in one of her feet keep her from working?  I know people that have no feeling below their waist and in wheelchairs, yet they still work.

Today I was at a store that made me think of this thread.

Part of my job is passing out samples of new items to the stores for them to sample. If they like the items, they may want to order them, or if they are already ordering the items, they know how they taste. Well, I was in one store and I handed the clerk 2 items (Kit Kat white minis, and Reese Crunchy Cup) and I said "here are some free samples just for you of the new items we just launched. Enjoy them!" She looked at me and very seriously said "what do I do with these?" I said "you get to eat them dear, they are for you". She was puzzled for a second and then smiled and said "ohhhh, thanks! I will!"

Seriously? I didn't know samples were confusing. I have 150 stores and no one has ever asked me what to do with the free samples before.

I dunno.  I don't know her really at all.  She had posted something on a FB page that I subscribe to.  She was looking for transportation due to her not being able to walk very well.  So I gave her some information on transportation in our area.  I was just trying to be helpful.  About a week later I noticed she was posting about INS and the lines being down and she was trying to get through to check her status or something of the sort.  So basically she's applied for disability but is not a citizen as of yet.  As far as her disability I don't know more than what she told me which was she had spinal surgery, lost all the feeling in one of her feet, wears, a brace, and walks with a walker now.

This is one of my peeves as well.  Then I feel like I'm holding up the line sorting it out.  Sometimes I just put it in my purse & sort it out when I get to the car or home.

One of my pet peeves as well. I will stand there in line and sort the money. If someone has to wait in line because the cashier can't do the job right, to bad.
