I wasn't very nice today either. People were pissing me off because it was pick on the short girl for being short day.
Well, I felt really short today. I have a friend that is just over 6 feet tall. When they built their house, they custom designed the kitchen counters to be comfortable for her height. So every time I am over there, I feel about 2 feet tall.

Funny thing, when my mother had her kitchen redone she did so for her height of 5' and shrinking. I have to bend over in her kitchen!

When I had military family friends I was in a few handicapped accessible homes. The base is required to have a certain amount of homes built for handicapped people. The counters are perfect height for me.
I'm keeping the kindness theme going. Doesn't matter that it's not Thursday.
A local politician organized a big complimentary show shoveling project for seniors this past week.
He recruited a bunch of teenagers who were off on school vacation, and publicized to elderly and disabled folks a number they could call if they needed shoveling out.
He arranged a schoolbus to drive the kids from house to house.
They shoveled out sidewalks and front walkways for free for the seniors and disabled folks.
The article in the local paper was great. Some of the seniors were so over-the-top grateful.
Very uplifting.
