1950's kitchen like brand new.

Retro lovers will swoon over this vintage kitchen! It’s covered in bubblegum pink and fully furnished with rare General Electric appliances. This perfectly decorated kitchen looks like a scene from a movie set in the 1950s, but it’s real!

Imagine the ultimate 1950s housewife preparing breakfast, packing lunches and doing the dishes for the entire family in this classic kitchen!

A furniture designer named Nathan Chandler purchased this charming home that hasn’t been lived in for over 50 years. It’s amazing that it has remained in such beautiful condition!

The sparkling silver complements the light pink throughout this radiant kitchen. This beauty even has a side-by-side fridge!

The original owner held onto everything, including the instructions for these classic General Electric appliances. The condition of this incredible kitchen makes it look like they designed it yesterday!

Each carefully planned detail throughout this kitchen remains exactly the same. Look at that oven! You can almost hear Mom saying, “Honey, dinner’s ready!”

And this stove! It may be a little too much candy pink for your taste, but you can’t deny how adorable it is!

There’s nothing like taking a stroll down memory lane!

I could be wrong, but this kitchen was all over the news last week.  Maybe that is what I remember.

But it's pretty awesome though.

I wouldn't mind having it.

It is awesome!  Especially with the "new" boxes of dishwasher soap.  And Pink counter tops.  So 50's, much better than the 80's orange counters.

I don't remember having this thread. The kitchen is cute. I like it but I wouldn't want it.

It looks really cute!

But pink, in a kitchen?confuse

No thank you.no

Oh gosh, edited to add, GE appliances are the pits. You couldn't give me one, for free!furious

Not that I ever bought one. My sister had a new house built. It came with GE appliances. They all failed, multiple times, within the first year!cry

Good grief, she replaced them all. Within a year.no

What a pain in the ass.cry

I'd prefer it in the 50s turquoise over the pink.

The turquoise is great. I like it with the white countertops and black/white flooring.

Yellow was big in the 50s, too. Pink is fun, but I just can't see it as a kitchen color - probably would have been in my bathroom, though, because I do like pink. My favorite color combo is the turquoise and red - in everything. Honey's mom bought me the most BEAUTIFUL red and turquoise scarf for Secret Santa.

You know who had a turquoise and yellow kitchen?

Monica Gellar

The refrigerator in Monica's apartment actually worked. It was filled with water and drinks for the cast and crew.

I think the point is, it was finished and then never used.

Like finding a box you put away and forgot about the brand new shirt that was in it.

I didn't like Friends either. Still don't.

Dot like Seinfield. Both got on my nerves. The people were just too whinny.

You can tell the photos of the pink kitchen are old because . . . . .

look at the electrical outlets - NO GROUND PLUG!

My parents had the checkerboard pattern - in grey and pink.

I love the design but would swap the pink for a baby blue.

If I could design the perfect kitchen, it would be a lot like my grandma's kitchen. But have elements of other kitchens I have liked.

She had a very practical farm kitchen.

It was white. The floor was wood. I don't remember a curtain on the windows in there. Of course she lived on a farm and no one around to need curtains.

I want it very rustic.

I want butcher block counter tops. One grandmother had a butcher block table in the middle of her kitchen. She used it for everything. I loved it.

Grandmother had a huge farm sink. It was all enamel and in a lightening storm, lightening would dance around it. So of course I would want another but I do want a big farm sink.

And I would love open cupboards. The ones with the mesh over them. I love those.

And at one end there would be a big working hearth. One that has a baking box. I love those. And swing arm for cooking over the fire.

I want the modern appliances but I want them to look as old as possible. Have the look like they were used generations ago.

I love the fridges with the wood fronts. And the stoves that look like old wood stoves.

And miss matched chairs around the table is a must but the also have to "go together".
