Speaking of fridges - I clean mine at least once a month, often more frequently. I take out all shelves, all drawers and throw out any forgotten leftovers and expired food.
Anyway, my fridge has smelled like rubbing alcohol all week! I've cleaned it, and for the life of me I can't figure it out. What the hell? Any ideas?
What kind of fridge is it it VoR?
I got a Samsung, a few years ago. It always smells fine.
Okay, you have an alcohol smell?
Did some seafood, slide down, where you didn't see it? Or, a piece of fruit?
My guess would be a piece of fruit, that got over looked.
Side by sides are awful - no offense to anyone who has one. We could never fit anything in ours. Couldn't buy turkeys on sale - too fat to fit in the freezer. When I made soups to freeze, I couldnt fit more than 2 containers on any shelf. I hated it.

Love my french doors and bottom freezer!

I have one and I couldn't agree more. It sucks. Can't wait until this thing dies.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
I will be scoping out the local scratch and dent place. That's where I got my big freezer. 22 cu ft for less than $500. And our washer, dryer and fridge.
I don't want a chest freezer. To me, they take up too much floor space, things get lost on the bottom and leaning in and getting the boobies cold does not work for me.
I read this as 'leaning in to get the bodies out' . . .

I currently have a $5 rebate gift card and a $25 coupon for lowes. I know that's only $30 but it's still a little help. I might swing by after church and see what deals they have right now.
So I went to Lowes. I looked at every bottom freezer type unit. I hated every one of them, the drawers are just too awkward. I'd have to access it from the side to be able to reach into it. I love mine because it's a door. I found a few side by sides that weren't too awful.

I'm sorry you didn't find anything that thrilled you. "Weren't too awful" doesn't seem like a good reason to buy something expensive and long lasting.

Well the freezer is plugged back in and humming. And now we wait to see if it freezes the water bottle. And then wait again when the bottle is turned up right and stays frozen.
