Ok - now for the PREFERENCE thread.  Mainly, this is for choices you make in diet style, not individual foods.

I prefer fish and poultry to red meat.

And, if a Arby's or Wendy's sandwich has a piece of bacon on it, I'll eat it...then confess my sins!!!

I am pretty simple. For meals I want beef or chicken with a side of potatoes, a veggie like green beans or peas and bread. Easy peasy. I can eat pasta once or twice a week but I like meat with it. I like pork but for some reason, it doesn't sit well with me so I can't eat it very often. I love seafood on special occasions but I hate to cook it at home so I don't and the only time I eat it is when we are at the beach or go out for a special dinner or Red Lobster.

I eat mostly chicken and fish, and non-meat dishes. Almost never have beef, too fatty and hard to digest.

I selected other. While I do eat meat, it does not fit into my budget. Same thing with fish. I do eat chicken, but too much chicken can be boring.  I do not have a lot of variety in my diet. I love veggies, but they can be pricy in my area, so I don't eat them as often as I should.

I love meat.....except pork/ham. I love bacon, extra crispy, but not a big fan of pork chops, pork roast or ham. I will eat it if that's what there is, but it's not my preference

I will eat, or at least try, just about anything.

Meals around here have a protein, a root or starch of some kind and then some kind of vegetable.

Just depends on what we are in the mood for and what we have.

In the warmer months we do eat a lot of sandwiches.

Ok I hate Okra, it's a silly starch that tastes nasty unless lots of butter fat and seasonings are added. Random thought, I know.

I love okra if it is made right. Mostly fried.

But it is a great way to thicken soups.

I'll eat mostly anything.

There's a difference between what I'll buy/prepare for myself, and what I'll eat if that's what's offered, or what I'll turn down.

Dude! With the seafood shacks and lobster shacks around here??? Never! I live by this lovely seafood restaurant. Always packed. And after living in Maine for years? I don't seek breaking down another lobster. Everyone asks me to break them down.

I don't care for Red Lobster. It just isn't worth the cost to me. I've never seen anything on their menu that wasn't swimming in some kind of "sauce" or "butter" and it is always bland.

I love seafood. I don't get it very often.

I've never had anything bland there. I love their rice pilaf & they do a good job on the green beans.

It's a treat for us & we only order an entrée, no app or dessert. We use a coupon when we go.

If you like then that is great. I don't think anyone is saying you shouldn't if you enjoy it.

It isn't what I call good seafood. I know a couple people who have worked in the kitchen at one time or another. Most of their dishes come prepreped and they simply get them hot.

I prefer seafood fresh. I like knowing it was still swimming that day.

I ate at Red Lobster once, and the food was good.  I was travelling to see my god-nephew when he graduated from university awhile back.  I am not a seafood eater, but they did have non-seafood items on their menu.  What I remember are the cheddar bay biscuits.  Really liked those.

I have eaten at Olive Garden twice, both times when I was travelling out of state to visit my god-niece and nephew.  The food was good.

There is no Olive Garden where I live, so I am glad I at least got to eat there.  There is a Red Lobster within a few miles of my apartment, but I have never gone there.  I don't dine out very much at all due to finances.

 What hate?

Our Applebee's is not very good. Never been impressed with it. My personal opinion.

I like Chillies. A lot of people don't.

O'Charlies is mom's favorite place. I don't care for it but it's ok.

J loves Fuddruckers. I don't get the appeal.

I think the most disappointing places I have eaten are Planet Hollywood and HardRock Cafe. Neither were good. Both way over priced. Both bad service.

I would plan a vacation around food.

Up north for seafood, Chicago for deep dish. That kind of thing.

I like a well balanced diet. That's a plate that is half filled with meat of some form (a 32 oz, extra thick, rare, Porterhouse sounds nice) and the other half is divided up between starches and veggies.

Chilli's is ok. There's one in Savannah.

No O'Charlies but I've eaten at one, they are decent.

Fuddruckers is good but way over priced for burgers.

Only time I go to Hard Rock is in S. Fl. but I go there for the casino.
