That is an excellent idea for him NJN.

I just got back from the bank. Apparently along with bread & milk everyone needs to do banking before a big snow storm. Then the idiots in front of me didn't have a deposit slip or a pen & didn't do something else properly the freaking little drawer kept being sent back out. It took forever thankfully I took a magazine along. I finished two whole articles before they got their shyt together.

That is because you are not a rude idiot!  I'll admit I have occasionally forgot to sign to get cash back because I usually just deposit the whole thing.  I always feel embarrassed when that little drawer comes back out for me to sign.

I generally try to be nice & not rude.  This is funny.  My bff & I were in Walgreens a few weeks ago.  She was in front of me paying with cash & digging around in her change purse.  I sort of stage whispered "hey lady you're holding up the line".  The cashier said she would call the manager to open up another line for me.  I tried to explain I was joking & would never say that to a stranger.  She sort of shrugged & said it happens all the time.  I couldn't believe people did that.

I do hate when someone will empty the contents of their purse searching for a penny. I usually offer to pay the penny to move things along.

NAOW, that is awful, a similar incident happened in my town last summer. It's so sad.

Ok, so I didn't clear the snow off my driveway before going to work this morning, many of my neighbors did. SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had all melted during the day! I have a total clear driveway. And guess what??????? I can see a small part of my deck, A few inches right next to the house. Still a few feet of snow on it, but its melting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have flakes of snow that are melting as they hit. I'm sure some think that it's no big deal. But it's now been raining/light snowing for three straight weeks here. Mud slides are an issue. We saw an 18 wheeler today turned over on the highway. Apparently he slid and toppled over. We have so much rain the banks of our local ponds and rivers are over flowing. While I'm sure it sounds like a blessing of a problem to have to some who are dealing with incessant snow, we are having our own dangerous weather conditions.

I really hope we don't get a call at 5 in the morning canceling school. I wish they go ahead and do it.

NJN it has been really wet here too. We are worried about the ice and trees falling over.

Yes. We got the call. 2 hour delay.

We are expecting ice about 5 in the morning. Our temps are dropping to about 30-34 tomorrow.

It all depends on where the freezing line settles.

It's 12 degrees right now. By Friday it will be 50 degrees, and will keep climbing up to 60 by Sunday. I wish the weather would quit doing this. Just get warm already!

I'm coming down with a cold. I've been really tired today and finally my throat started to hurt, and nose started to run. I'll be going to bed early tonight.

Can't he just leave the cat one of those self feeders?

Boston needs 1.9" to beat the record and we want it!  Already beat the record in my area.  It's early March so Boston needs only a couple of "dusting" type storms to beat that old record.  Its funny, we've been beaten down by the snow but we are so close, we might as well get a win!

I should be in bed, have to be up in less than 7 hours. But I brought DD to her indoor softball clinic tonight and had a surprise BOD meeting there. I thought that was next week. Anyway did not get home until an hour ago. Had to walk the dog, put the trash out, and pack Dd's lunch for tomorrow. I could go lay in bed but I wouldn't fall asleep. Too wound up. Only 2 more of these meetings until September but then I have my other volunteer work. I also have to file the tax returns for the Softball league which will be a nightmare this year. The league had previously had one of those small town BOD's that did not keep records, may have misused funds, etc. so I also have to perform an audit on the past few years. We've since formed a new BOD and rid it of the people that were there forever and acted as if they owned it. It's all manageable but this time of year everything seems to come to a head.

No, IKWTDS, Shop Cat expects to get a can of the good stuff.

And Wayne, has never let her down.smile

In the past, when the weather has been bad, Wayne will sleep at the plant.

He'll keep the machines going, that would freeze, and need thousands in repairs, if no one was around to keep them running.

I don't think he really cares as much about the machines, as much as Shop Cat.

He loves her.

He will go in tomorrow, come hell or high water.

Lots of luck, getting to the plant, in the morning.

At least he's driving a company car.wink

Yes, yes we do!

And, if it turns into sleet. I think it's trying to do that, right about now! Well Hell!

Gosh, I think we are getting our last ice storm, of the year.

I hope this will be it. I'm tired of this.cry

San Antonio has already said schools will have a two hour delay in opening - busses will have to deal with a lot more traffic than usual. A "norther" just blew in - 46 MPH winds, and the temp plummeted 30 degrees! We're in for it tomorrow, but thankfully not as bad as some of you good Geeks are having it.

Spring! Calling Spring! Where arrrrrrrrreeee you?
