Lily - I grew up in the woods with a bunch of hippies. Nudity doesn't phase me. I grew up using sauna's, hot tubs and skinny dipping with mixed groups. And guess what? No one was having sex either.

My best guy friend from high school has seen me naked more than anyone and nothings ever happened between us.

Nudity isn't a big thing for everyone.

Now - my husband isn;t so cavalier so out of respect for him I don't go group hot tubbing with out a bathing suit anymore when I'm home visiting friends.

There is a big difference between someone flashing someone in a park and a transgender person changing their clothes for a work out.

The ONLY qualification that Planet Fitness makes to this is the way you dress. That means ANY man can dress like a woman and go into the women's locker room. Everyone gets so up in arms about women being victimized until it's the transgender movement allowing it to happen.

I did have a situation that relates here. I belonged to a gym that had multiple locations. I guess it wasnt standard that women's lockerroom was on the right and men's lockerroom on the left. This guy just comes strolling right in. I looked up and was like, um, I think you made a wrong turn. He turned about 7 shades of red and ran out.

I was up early taking my shower before work. And, our bedroom is immediately outside of the upstairs bathroom. I usually don't bother to take my clothes in because it is easier to just scoot into the bedroom with a towel. I am usually up way earlier than the kids when I am doing my scooting. Well, this morning, I walked out of the bathroom and almost knocked down my 19 yr old son. He was positively mortified! LOL!!

This. They have doing a ton of advertising in my area and the no intimidation is all about exercising at your own pace and such. Their marketing is misleading. And I bet they do lose a lot of patrons. My son has a membership and paid for a year up front. As soon as his membership is done he is going elsewhere.

Perhaps the business should amend their policies to be more clear.

I don't think anybody really did anything wrong in this situation. As society changes, policies and cultural norms change. As these changes happen their are going to be hiccups in the way things are handled.

Lily - I grew up in the woods with a bunch of hippies. Nudity doesn't phase me. I grew up using sauna's, hot tubs and skinny dipping with mixed groups. And guess what? No one was having sex either.
My best guy friend from high school has seen me naked more than anyone and nothings ever happened between us.
Nudity isn't a big thing for everyone.
Now - my husband isn;t so cavalier so out of respect for him I don't go group hot tubbing with out a bathing suit anymore when I'm home visiting friends.
You are talking about groups where you were aware it would be mixed.
Not alone in a locker room with a women's sign on the door and a naked man you don't know there with you.
Two totally different situations.
And I've told you it wouldn't personally bother me and the above background on my upbringing is part of the reason why I don't have any issue with it.

It certainly would if the person was a pervert and ogling and intimidating you. HUGE difference between a pervert claiming they are transgender and a group of nudists.

People who don't like a company's policy should use another business.

How come that is true for this situation but not the baker, minister, venue or anything else that doesn't agree under opposite circumstances?

If this had been making the man leave the dressing room, would it still apply?
