When we went to the courts for DH's child support there were tons of women there in sweats with words on the butt. Some came in in their pajama's.

There should be a dress code for the court house. I was on jury duty once and this guy had jeans on that was covered in road tar.

I was pretty surprised they didn't make them go home and change. Seriously, people showed up in pajama's. And I get that it's child support court but it's still court. You still see a judge in a courtroom. I was amazed.

I told my friend about her birthday present. She was very surprised. Especially when I told her she was going Friday and her boss has already cleared it. She excited. I can't wait to see her face Thursday!

I have seen judges send people home and reschedule things because of how they are dressed.

Honestly, people have no self respect these days.

It doesn't have to be formal but at least look like you tried.

I was surprised they didn't send people home too. We got a list saying what we could do and couldn't do and not to bring kids and blah blah blah but no one followed those rules. I couldn't believe people looked like they just rolled out of bed. Disgusting. We dressed up. We have to go again soon but I don't think we'll go all out dressed up. Just nice pants and shirts.

Flan I think the "crab" is a tree stump or branch. Some sort of wood thing. Lol.

These kids give me my "kid fix" without having to take care of one. They are perfectly adorable outside playing in the puddle and mud with my puppy. Then I go home and they go to a separate home! Lol.

Judges in the court system where my mom works will send people home for not dressing respectfully. You need to look like you are respectful of where you are. I once had a traffic ticket and I had a judge tell people if they were not dressed nicely they could ask for a continuance or whatever to come back later and look appropriate or else they could "try me". Most stuck around and got clobbered. I had dress pants, a blouse, a blazer and heels on. I pleaded guilty but got my court costs waived and a reduced fine. Pays to look good!

Our judge sends a note with their notice to appear. If you show up dressed inappropriately, you will be told to leave. Watched it happen last time I was in there - no shorts, no tank tops.
