That sounds awful, Blankie. I hope you feel better soon.

Sending healing thoughts your way, Blankie.

Do you need a visit to a doctor or chiropractor?

Thanks everybody. It's just starting to loosen now. I've spent almost 24 hours resting it in therapeutic positions, and doing a series of very deep breathing and relaxation techniques, with lots of Ben Gay slathered on.  I just started the very gentle yoga stretching about an hour ago. It feels looser now than last night.  I have a lot of experience with this, about 30 years or so. And I've read and read about it. I used to go to the chiro faithfully, but since I've been doing yoga and deep relaxation for the past 10 years, my back has been much healthier. It's almost always a muscle strain, and the strain happens because of tight, unstretched muscles. I have been shortchanging the yoga lately, and too much shoveling too quickly. So picking up 22-lb. Little Man once too often did me in yesterday.

Yikes!  so happy I don't have back issues.  Sounds horrible Blankie.  Too much snow shoveling this year for you!

Hey ya'll! My kids and I had a really nice afternoon. Picked up the boys and we went to Walmart for a few things. I picked up some veggie seeds and starter pots. I am going to have a real garden again!

Then we met C for dinner. They are great company at this age. Real conversation and fun.

It's 70 now and there is a nice light breeze blowing. The sky is clear and frogs are singing.

Hope each of you have a pleasant evening.

Blankie, I am glad your back is getting better.

Temps were in the 50's today. As I was driving home, the wind picked up and inside of 40 minutes the temp dropped 15 degrees. It is now in the 20's and going into the teens. I have a fire going. It's nice. Maybe one of the last of the season. Let's hope. the melt of snow today is frozen solid on our driveways.

Can you put chains on your tires? (Yes, I do mean on your CAR.)

I'm turning into my mother. I put 1.5 lbs of smoked ham into the crockpot with a lb of beans and then took the other .5lb of ham and put it in the freezer. Then I asked myself why I didn't just toss it in the pot .. . my answer to myself?

1. I might need it for something later and

2. I'll save it for special . . .

Seriously. I might need help.

We've had this discussion,  Chains are not legal but for some backwoods roads. And why would I go to that expense?  If the roads are that bad, I will just stay home.
