Happy Friday and Happy Spring!

Yes. It is not Spring like everywhere BUT it is Spring!

Won't be long everything will be green and budding and blooming all over the country.

Sorry some of you will have another week or three of the snow and cold. But it will be gone before you know it.

We are expecting rain again today.

And the eclipse! With it being so cloudy it might get really dark during the eclipse.

Soooooo happy it's spring! The dog and I are going on a nice long walk today - he loves the woods so I am thinking of taking him to the nature trails. His nose will be so excited.

DD is off at a tourney so DH and I are home alone. What?! That has not happened in years. Last night we had a nice quiet dinner and talked over some things that had been bothering us. Cleared the air. Felt good.

I need to finish the laundry and clean out the fridge. Run to the store for some odds and ends.

The Bradford pear trees have bloomed.

How could something so pretty, smell so bad?cry

(Our whole neighborhood smells like poo. It's pretty yucky.)

 I remember them from GA.  I had no idea what that horrible smell was.  Have you ever smelled a mock orange tree?  They smell delicious.

I'm hoping the rain knocks down the rest of the blooms from the pear trees. They really do smell bad.

 My neighbor hung a big plastic owl in his tree.  Supposedly it frightens away the squirrels.  It seemed to work because he had tulips, but the owl hanging from his tree wasn't all that attractive.

Do you gals grow tall summer flox?  They are one of my favorites & Lilies.  I love Delphinium too but can't grow them here because it doesn't stay cold enough long enough.  I bet Blankie could grow them nicely.

 I've never tried delphiniums. The pictures look beautiful though. I should see if they would work in my zone.
