 That would totally p!ss me off. Ridiculous that she can't be bothered to ensure he brushes his teeth. She is about the worst mother ever - next to yours. No offense.

 You are correct.  On both accounts.  Mine was worse.  But yes, it's so frustrating.  It totally pisses me off.  Kids don't learn to brush their teeth on their own.  They have to be taught.  And it's not that hard.  You start when they are babies.  Right along with washing your hands and wiping your butt.  Oh yeah, she didn't teach him to wipe either.  Last summer I kept him all summer and I'd have to wash all his crappy underwear.  I tried everything.  It was when DH was gone all summer.  I finally called him in one day, at the age of nine, showed him three pairs of crappy underwear and basically spanked him so he would remember it.  I told him that every time I had to wash a pair of those underwear I was going to spank him again.  Never had another problem.  SS is just THERE.  He's not actually being RAISED.  He just exists.

I put specific words in CAPS for emphasis all the time. One word in caps does not equal screaming.

It's annoying to the point that parenting is supposed to be a team. She is supposed to be instilling things in him and we are supposed to be supporting her. We simply can't parent over the phone. It's next to impossible. We are responsible for all his homework getting done, all his healthcare, all his everything. And yet he is with her M-F. Frustrating.
