 Like I said, I had friends that were swingers.  They were nice.  I asked them a lot of questions because I was truly curious.  I met some of their swinger friends.  I always hear people talking up these things.  They're so freeing, so happy, so wonderful.  I never met a single couple that didn't have major issues.  That's not to say they aren't out there but I never met any.

I think it would cause problems. I bet a lot of swingers end up with someone else because they fall in love.

There are a lot of rules. There's not supposed to be jealousy or favorites but yeah, doesn't happen.

It's interesting. That's for sure. You'll always hear the men talk about it like it's the best thing in the whole world. And the women will too. WHEN THE MEN ARE AROUND. But as soon as they leave they'll be honest with you.

So much for women's rights when they feel they have to endure a stink arse male to keep the stink arse one they got.

well, can't speak to the relationship dynamics very much but my own impression with it was that a lot of the participants, rather than relaxing and enjoying themselves,were trying almost DESPERATELY to " enjoy " themselves--if you remember the Eagles song " Life in the Fast Lane " and consider the lyrics, you'll have the idea near-exactly--it was a drug / alcohol fueled obsession for a long time in CA--if any of you are old enough to remember all the " Oakwoods " apartment communities in So Cal--adult only, no kids--they were almost specifically for the drugs / alcohol / swinging set

  I got to meet the duggers the other day. Michelle is really a very sweet person and both of them were down to earth people. This was at a fundraiser and they paid their own way to travel here.

 I love watching them! The children are so charming, Jim Bob seems a little doofy but clearly they both love their children. 

Put me in the category of being abused and continuing the abuse. But my boys' beds are made every day.

I thinkthe Diggers are an extreme example. I am not sure what they are doing is healthy, but it is no skin off my nose.

 She's comparing all these reality show families.  No, the Duggars are NOT normal.  But if you're only looking at reality show families they definitely ARE the MOST normal.  No one is selling sex tapes or swinging or bisexual or anything else.  It's a family about a lot of kids but at least Jim Bob and Michelle seem to have a great marriage.  Well, WAY more normal than say Honey Boo Boo's mom and her b/f.

When I was growing up, the family across the street had 24 children. Mrs. Garvey was ALWAYS pregnant.

The house on one side of them had 8 kids, the house on their other side had 6.

 

There were always plenty of kids to play with.

Part of the big family thing is regional. Where I grew up, 5 kids was considered a big family. Where we lived in Indiana, several families had 10 or more.

My father had 17 brothers and sisters. My mom has 8.

I despise John and Kate. She nitpick ed her husband until her left her. She's a camera hogging drama queen. It's all about the money with her.

Most of the contestants on that show can't get on camera any other way.
