When did you get him and have you bathed him yet? If so how many times?

I can only give you my advice for what it's worth. Which isn't much. We have two young dogs that don't smell and an older dog that stinks to high heavens. But we got it under control. I can tell you what worked for us.

Vette, the dog probably needs a professional cleaning. Glands, ears and all.
Tomato juice cuts bad odor too. Just get big jug and pour it over him. Then shampoo him.
His diet can cause odor as well.
If he smells yeasty then he needs a trip to the vet cause he probably has a skin infection.
There is a dry shampoo for between cleanings. It smells good.
Hope something helps.

Day 1 of moving done. Day 2 commencing in the morning. Day 3 = furniture. Day 4 = clean the old place and turn in the keys. If everything goes according to plan.
DS is spending the weekend with his great-grandma. He's a lot of help (actual help, he likes bringing stuff to us to put in boxes) but it's better for him to be safely away from the moving crew so he doesn't get stepped on. It's weird not having him with us.
I really love our new place. Biggest apartment I've ever lived in. I'm going to have to get used to having no carpet but I'll adjust. I especially love how the living room is nice and open with no weird angles. Maintenance is really on top of things too. He stopped in while we were moving stuff today to fix the things that needed fixed - like plugging in the fridge and unsticking the door on the circuit breaker box.
For anyone wondering: Yes, we were supposed to have been moved last month. But, that fell through. The manager of that complex got fired for shady dealings and the apartment we were supposed to get was one of those shady dealings. Our original move-in date had got moved back (which we only found about when we called to ask if they received the fax from our insurance guy). New move in was "at least" another two weeks and that came and went without us receiving any calls. Turns out the manager had cancelled our reservation on us. Also turned out that the reason for the delay was that there was a death in the apartment (which the new manager spilled the beans on). We got our deposit back from them. So glad we dodged that bullet!

Good luck with the rest of the moving! Everything happens for a reason, and it sounds like you got a better place.

I'm up. First on my list of errands is to go to the local service center for my cable company and swap out the modem and a cable box. Its a beautiful day here, in the 50's and sunny.
good luck on the move Chef. You will get so much more done and quicker without the little one running around. You certainly dodged a bullet on that other apartment!
Vette's got a stinky dog, Vette's got a stinky dog!

Straighten up the living room. Again. Mom is "cleaning" and for some reason it all ends up in the living room.
Need a hair cut.
Gotta find something for supper.
Chef, sounds like moving is going well so far. Hope the new digs keep ya'll happy for a long time.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning, having abusy weekend. Have 25 young men staying the weekend. Our Church every year has a week end Bible study, games, music and other activities for the jr high and high school girls and boys. Church members have them stay at their homes. I get the boys every year. It is a lot of fun and they eat like locust.
I granddaughter accidently face timed me last night. Ianswered the all and she appeared say hi mimi! I could hear voices and then my daughter comes on and asked if I called nope it was grand girl. Made my week end.
Thanks for the good wishes on the moving, all :) I can't wait to be done but so far, so good! The previous tenants had children, I'm thinking. The bottom cabinets are all childproofed.
Lily: So far, we're very happy with the new place. We're hoping to stay in the new place until we get a house. As long as the rent stays reasonable and the management stays decent, we'll stay. Hopefully, we'll be able to get a house in the next couple years.
They're planning on building a playground once the basketball court is done being renovated and, right now, the site for said playground is going to be the courtyard in front of our place. How convenient! I hope it stays that way. I really love that our patio is a good size. I want to get water and sand tables for DS and other outside toys.

I was bad, I stayed up late watching netflix and slept in.
My plans for the day are to do some spring cleaning. I have a door to the outside with a stairway and a small entry way. I bought a babygate (one of the walk-thru ones) to put at the bottom of the stairs. I'm hoping to get the entry way cleaned up - it usually holds extra wood for the fireplace - so I can keep the door open when it's nice and get a little fresh air in here.
Anyone had advise on cleaning up mold/mildew on the concrete?
Baby is not napping like she is supposed to. I had just put her down when the doorbell rang and the dogs went crazy. Now she wants up. That is how it always works. No one ever comes to the door when its convenient, lol.

When my nephew was younger, he used to accidently call our uncle all the time. Which is weird, because my sister rarely called our uncle, so he wasn't the last called or a speed dial. We still have no idea how he would do it

I hate it when that happens. I babysit my great nephews every thurs and the past 3 weeks someone always rings the door bell as soon as the baby falls asleep.

You need one of those "do not disturb till" clocks that you can maneuver the hands.

LOL! They may know more about phones then we think theydo. He is a smart little guy.
Yesterday in the news was a story about a little boy who suffered a severe head injury while being watched by his mother's boyfriend. Today, it says the boy passed away, and they released the name of the boyfriend/murderer. It is the younger brother of an old friend from high school. So many emotions. I am so sad for the little boy and his mother. I can't believe I know someone who could hurt a child like that. Back when I knew him, he was a really sweet preteen.
Yeah for today! Now that I have my pain under control DH and I are heading over to Lane Bryant to buy me some workout clothes. I'm going to start working out on the elliptical again! Sadly my other workout clothes are too small. But it will give me a goal to reach!
I think the tooth fairy will be coming to our house tonight.

How much longer will the tooth fairy be coming for ya'll?
I was sad when A asked if I could just give him the money for the tooth cause he knew it was me.
I told him no. It had to be put under the pillow. Cause if he was too old to believe, he was too old to get anything.
BTW What is the going rate these days.
Mine got a dollar. I gave them the shiny gold presidents dollars.

MSN is reporting that the Capitol is on lockdown after shots were fired.
More info:
"Confirmed: self-inflicted gunshot by neutralized subject," Schneider said. "Multiple law enforcement/emergency services have responded in support of the incident."
The building was locked down as a precaution after shots were fired on the west front of the building, Schneider said. The lockdown continued even after the incident was described as a suicide.
U.S. Capitol Police officers also were investigating a suspicious package on the lower west terrace of the Capitol, Schneider said.
Look who finally made his appearance! He is a friends baby. Ain't the sweetest?

There is an air show this weekend. Blue Angels. I have to pass the base to get into town. Traffic started building at 9. Once I got home from Zumba and errands I hunkered down. It's been loud all day. I live right under the flight path.
It was supposed rain all morning. I think we had a few drops. It's such a blessing, the air show a few years ago was cancelled when they did all those government cutbacks.

How about just a bleach and water solution. Spray it on and let it sit for a bit.

My internet is working and so much faster. My modem must have been old. New one is working so much better. The kids and I went to the outlet mall this afternoon, I bought a couple of spring/summer work outfits at Banana Republic. Didn't try them on since the kids were whining, even the 33YO. I will try them on later and if I need to return I will do that next w/e.
