Yes, it is. I know everyone else hates Monday and today will be hard for me as I am sending DH back to work. BUT, I have gone half a week with MINIMAL pain now. I am able to move around. I can sleep at night. I don't think I really realized just how much pain I was in until I wasn't in pain anymore. I've told DH about a hundred times how good I feel!

I should be sleeping, but the thunder woke me up. Oh well - we need the rain.
Please don't send it here!

The rain was so heavy in the next town over that the roadway was ORANGE with all the soil being wash away- scary.
Yep. I am familiar with mudslides!

Well, I guess it's been an even better day than I thought! I just spent thirty minutes talking to my MIL in Spain.

Up and down all night with horrible leg cramps. I think it's my new meds. The fine print says not to take with a diuretic and my BP meds have a diuretic in it so I'm dehydrating.

Again. My motivation in this job is zero. I had a nice chat with another manager. His department shares office space with mine. Why can't I work for him? I would love that. I feel like I could learn a lot from him, and he's eager to teach. But no, I'm stuck with megabitch. He said he's willing to help me when I need it. So hopefully my boss will allow that
On a separate note: I'm starting to research vacations. Anyone rented a beach house before? What was your experience? Tips for me?

It's been 20+ years, DG. When DS1 was a toddler, we went to Myrtle Beach & stayed in a house that had been made into 4 units. It was nice.
Keeping my fingers crossed that your work situation improves!
He said he'd be back! Terminator Genisys opens in July. Looking forward to it.
DG, we are looking for a beach house this year too.
Usually stay in resort condos. They tend to offer the most ammenities.

We enjoyed a wonderful family weekend! We all attended the Spring Game in Lincoln. Oh, did we have fun! We had our own little tailgate party and the kids loved every single minute of it. They got to picnic outside! And we got to watch the idiots across from us make fools of themselves. Good times.
Dad is still hanging in there. They doubled his Ativan, mom said he still didn't sleep last night but was sleeping a few minutes ago. I hope to go back to moms on Thursday. Work and an orthodontist appointment are in the way of my travel time.
NJN, glad you DH has a job and your pain is less.
DG, hang in there, hopefully the job will improve with time.
FNW, I bet your boys are excited about that pool!
Hi, flan, Lexxy, Trudy, Lily, Vette, IKWTDS, SB and Momala!
Safe travels to you, FWM!

Morning everyone. Monday morning started off with hacked email that infected our computer system. I didn't open mine yet when everyone started panicking so mine didn't get infected but we were all down for an hour.

Oh my, Lexxy. IVY! Hacked email is a biotch!! What a lovely Monday morning for you all. Hope the rest of the day is better for you.

We are mostly back up & running. On a good note we also had pound cake with strawberries & whipped cream this morning. My coworker's birthday treat.
I'm glad your family had a great weekend tailgating.

Thank you, Lexxy. We all needed this fun weekend together. A breath of fresh air for all of us.

Been fantasizing watching the new pool shows on TV. Love the lagoon pools.

There will be a large retaining wall from natural stone in the back with a water feature and a smaller retaining wall in the front that we can set drinks on. The shallow end and steps are on the right with two benches, one in the shallow end and the other in the deep end. Since the back wall is substantially higher than the water line, there is a grip ledge running along the entire side.

We rented a beach house in Emerald Isle, N.C. Loved it. I would start right now to find one. They fill up very fast.
There are zero flights out to where DH needs to go. So we are getting ready to drive three hours, stay in a hotel (on the company), and then in the morning I will drop him off at the place he needs to be and they will take it from there. My knees always give me trouble on long drives so this is going to be a good gauge of how well things are working. Plus, DH and I get to spend the night alone at a hotel!

This is a total first world problem and I know there are more important things going on in the world, but -
We are going to Ireland this summer with both DDs and my parents. We are all flying in from our respective states and meeting in Philly, then flying to Dublin. When we come home, we are reversing it - flying in to Philly together and then flying home. Well, this morning we got word that our return flight from Philly to Minneapolis has been cancelled. So now, DH, DD and I are flying home from Dublin separately.
I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but we all like to fly in the same plane across the ocean. Heaven forbid something happens, we like knowing we will all be together and no one will be left behind. Now, we will be on different planes. My anxiety is going to ramp up big time on the way home. I may need to drink.
Total first world problem I know. But still - it's stressing me out.

Just curious, there is no other flight from Philly to Minneapolis a few hours later or maybe the next day? Or from Philly to a layover to Minn? If it means that much to you to all fly together I would look for alternatives.
And if it is so stressful maybe you should consider staying home & I'll go to Ireland instead. Just looking out for your stress level SO JEALOUS!
MM, it will be okay. I know you're worried but you can post to us geeks!

I volunteer if Lexxy can't make the date!!
My best friend is going to Ireland with two of her DD's and her mom in mid May. They are all on the same flights going over and back as well. Keep telling yourself, you will all be fine. Be sure to get a free drink.

The only option for us to all fly from Dublin to Philly would require the 3 of us to stay overnight in Philly and fly into Minneapolis the next day. That's too much waiting. There are no other options. We have to stick with the same airlines because we are using frequent flier miles.
Whenever I can find Wifi, I will post updates. Don't you worry! You will probably get sick of them.

My most recent ex & I often discussed going to Ireland. The problem was that I am irresponsible & wanted to just charge the trip & go NOW. He was more responsible & wanted to set up a special savings account for the vacation fund.

Never! We are living vicariously through your tour of Ireland!

Ok. I promise to post then whenever wifi is available. We are going to kiss the Blarney stone (even though everyone says it's a waste of time, DD really wants to do it), touring the Guiness factory, taking a day trip to County Cork (DH's grandmother is from there and we have some of her ashes to spread there) and visiting Trinity College. We have a friend whose parents live in Ireland still and we will be visiting them as well. Don't worry - lots of pics! We don't leave until the first week of August - so I have lots of time yet to get used to the idea of flying separately.
