I am frantic. The person I was trying to interview for the second time for a second project with school has bailed on me. Supposedly her supervisor said no to an on-site visit and interview. Project is due Wednesday! Fortunately, I was able to improvise with another organization but need to start from scratch. I already told DH not to expect me to do anything this weekend.

Did your kids every get allergy shots, lily? They've made a world of difference for the boys so far..

Today my father's cousin is being flown to DC on the Honor Flight. Tomorrow he'll be touring the various war memorials with his fellow Vets. He's a WWII Navy Vet. I have some of the letters he wrote my grandmother when he was serving. The letters were redacted by the Government. They are very interesting. Tomorrow I'll take my parents and the boys down and try to catch up with him and his daughter and granddaughter. The boys will wear my father's sailor hats (my father is a Navy Vet as well) and wave little American flags.

89. He has dementia and is blind. But I've never seen him without a huge smile on his face. Here he is with my cousin at the beach house (we stayed there a couple years ago).

FNW, we never did shots. Our allergies are not that severe 95% of the time. It's just the pollen is so high and the rain has kept it attached to everything and we cant seem to get away from it.
