I don't know what it is here. I am in shorts. There's a little coolness to the air. But it won't last long.

Good morning flan and Lily!

And all the sleepy heads!smile

I've got some running around to do today. I ended up with some unexpected running around yesterday evening, and haven't even watched Castle yet.

I'll try to get to it, later on today.

Have a great day everyone!smile

It's not yet listed "On Demand." Are they trying to make me weep?

I'll check ABC.

DH found Castle on Hulu Plus (something way beyond my skill set), but I only watched about 20 minutes. So far, so good.

And, my running around just turned into more running around.

Backstory: I got a distress call from Conor at 6:15pm yesterday. He had gone to the gas station to fill up, before heading over to pick up Jessi from work at 6:30.

After he filled up, his car wouldn't start.cry

Mere took Kermit, and ran to the school, to snag Jessi.

I ran to gas station, gave Conor a jump, and followed him home. (I even remembered to remind him to back into his driveway, so I could get nose to nose with his car for this mornings jump.)

Today's adventure. I picked Conor up at 7:30 am., and ran him over to his office, to pick up his company credit card, which he leaves locked in his desk. (Why? Beats me. His Dad carries his, all the time, just in case.)

We came back to Conor's house, and it started pouring rain. (Of course!furious) We waited in the house to see if it would let up. It did! We hooked up the Jumper cables. I fired up Belle. Conor tried his. And....

Nothing! Nada! No Go! We gave it a few minutes, to see if Conor's car would get a bit of charge from Belle. And still, no joy.cry

So, Conor called the tow truck. I came back home and snagged Kermit the Ford. I drove it up to his house and gave him the keys.

He can follow the tow truck to the car place, and then head over to work. Once his car is fixed, we'll meet him at Kwik Kar, and get Kermie back.

And, at 11:15, I'll pick Jessi up, and give her a ride to work.

LOL! Mom to the rescue! I have to laugh. No matter how old my kids get, they know if they have a problem, call Mom!wink

You're a good mom FWM! I know I can always count on my mom in a pinch and my daughter know I'll help her out anytime too. Even my stepson calls me when he's in need because his mom's not always available.

Thanks Tiny! I do my best.smile

This has put Conor in a bit of a bad mood. He hates his company car.

I told him to look at the bright side.

Free transportation, gas, and repairs is a great perk. Even if you don't like the car. Be happy that you have it.

Second, if the car had to take a dump, thank goodness it happened last night. With today to get it repaired. Conor has a sales trip planned for tomorrow. This could have happened while he was on the road. Or in Houston.

The timing was lucky, IMHO.wink

Good morning all!

A brisk 27 degrees here this morning. DH covered the radishes last night and uncovered them when the temp got above freezing. It is now 46 degrees. Brrr! Glad we still have the heat on.

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Oh4, after Conor had thanked me, for like the sixth time in 30 minutes, I finally looked at him and said, "Sweetie, it's okay! You don't have to keep thanking me. I'm happy to be able to help."

And, he couldn't help himself. He probably thanked me three or four more times, in the next 30 minutes.wink

He's a good kid.smile

Morning everyone. Good thing you all live close FWM. In my case if my car broke down I'd call my brother. My mom is great but not much in the car department. Years ago she was at my house & her car wouldn't start when she was ready to leave so we hooked up the jumper cables. Backwards. We set the cables on fire & blew out the entire electrical system in her car. My neighbor came running out & yanked the cables off before it fried my car too. cry

Busy morning for you FWM! Hope you have some down time today!

Lexxy- OMG! You were lucky. That would have freaked me out. My husband had to jump his grandpa's van a few weeks ago and the cables caught on fire. They were on right and everything, just cheap Walmart cables. They gave him his money back, and thankfully it didn't damage the cars.

Oh my gosh, Lexxy! That must have been quite a scene!cry

I'm glad I hung out with my Dad so much, when I was young. I'm pretty good with cars.

(Well, back in the day. Not so much with the newer ones. But, I know how to jump one!)wink

I'm kind of bummed. DH just called to tell me he is scheduled for a school (for work, that is out of town) that will last all summer.
There goes all of our plans. Plus it will be a busy and lonley summer for me.

How far away is the school? Will he be able to get home for weekends? Or, at all?

Fingers crossed.

No, once he leaves he will be gone until it's finished. I mean, it's good. Once he's done he gets a pretty good raise, and we knew he would have to go.. I just wish it didn't take up the whole summer, lol.
