It is a tricky situation. I just saw my ex at a memorial service for a friend's mom. It was a little awkward at first but we chatted politely & both paid our respects.

FWM and I had a wonderful lunch and I picked some clothes out for her. I have really good taste if I must say so! I bought some things, she bought some things, and she gave me CHOCOLATE! She's my BFF now!

I'm glad you and FWM had fun. Shopping and lunch with a friend is a great way to spend a day.

We had a blast!biggrin

I had chicken fried steak with mashed tators and grilled veggies. (Okay, a little treat, because I never make chicken fried steak at home.)smile

I got a couple of tops and light sweaters. A pair of casual shoes in navy, since I didn't have any. Some silicon grabbers and I grill tray for my grill. A cuter vent clip to hold air freshener for my Jeep, and some refills. An eyeglass thingamajig, for my sunglasses. Four summer tops, for either Wayne or Conor. I'll see who likes them better. And, a treat launcher, for Conor's dogs.

I think that's all. Am I forgetting anything, NJN?confuse

And, I know what we forgot.cry We never seem to remember to take a picture! Sorry about that. Maybe next time.wink

I ordered the fat burger and they were out! No lie. So I got something that was similar to a Salisbury steak. It was a ground beef patty with Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms, and brown gravy. I also got fries and mac and cheese and a side salad.

I bout some scooper measuring cups for the dogs food, a new can opener, an onion chopper (FWM brought me hers too!), a shirt for DH, and an air freshener with five refills for the car from Bath and Body works.

It really was a fun day!smile

Now, I really should do some cleaning and de-cluttering, before my furniture is delivered.

Poop...I tired. I'm going to have to force myself out of this chair and get my rear in gear.cry

We haven't gotten around to actually buying it yet, Lexxy. Still want to check a couple more place on price and installation.

The one thing I think we have nailed down is going with a really dark bamboo. It should look good next to our gray tile. smile

I like dark too but the wood on my handrails for the stairs is that light yellowy pine so if & when I ever get it I'll need to stay with medium color.  I found this tile that looks like hardwood that I want for my kitchen.   I may spoil myself & do that soon.  My kitchen is rather small so I ballpark it will be about $2500 total with installation.

I've seen that on HGTV, Lexxy. It looks really sharp! I bet you would love it!

Oh heck, I didn't even think about our banister. Hmmm....I might have to re-stain that puppy!wink

I thought about that but it is the pickets & posts & flat bottom on both sides & I'm afraid I'll mess it all up.  If it was just a hand rail I'd replace it.

We actually print on floor and wall tiles. I am contemplating a tile backsplash where we added counters and cabinets when remodeled. Just trying to envision the right effect!
Right now, our shop bathroom floor looks like the surface of a swimming pool!

Just go apologize.  Tell him you're sorry, you're really stressed out and you didn't mean to blow up.  But don't forget to add that he's still stupid but you love him anyway!

Thank you.  I am mostly writing it here to keep me accountable and on track/schedule.  I have a spreadsheet of all the stuff that is due, mostly by next Friday.  Well, actually that Sunday and Monday but we will be away that weekend.

I finished #1 & #2.  Working on #3.  I decided on the movie Guarding Tess.  Shirley Maclaine is rather crotchety and stubborn in that.  Plus I just watched a rerun of it the other week while I was doing other homework so it's fresh on my brain.  Movie itself was meh.

I have gotten two donation requests today. It must be fund raising season, this makes 4 in the last month. There is a part of me that is annoyed, but not really. I am in a place I can freely give, which makes me happy. Just my vent that's not really a vent

I have decided that trying to work on applique embroidery after a 13 hour day is not the best of plans...

Oh, and I had to check how to spell lieutenant about 3 times because it didn't look right, and I didn't trust my eyes the first two times I looked online.

I want to go home and climb into my new bed (and test out all the settings!)

How do you like it?

This...I quit a two pack a day habit back in 1982, before there were any of the cessation aids they have today.  It took about 30 days before I started to feel human again.  But if your carpet doesn't make it...you can replace it with all the money you are saving!

Seriously though, keep going...I promise you'll feel better in short order...and congrats on quitting.

I got a Sleep Science split king adjustable.  Costco had them for a great deal this month.  Last night was very nice and comfy.  The mattress doesn't hold the heat like my old memory foam mattress.

But here is the "white glove" delivery service...biggrin

I have decided that trying to work on applique embroidery after a 13 hour day is not the best of plans...

Oh, and I had to check how to spell lieutenant about 3 times because it didn't look right, and I didn't trust my eyes the first two times I looked online.

I want to go home and climb into my new bed (and test out all the settings!)

So, you got a sleep number bed? Or, one of the other fancy adjustable beds?

How do you like it?

Those adjustable beds look really comfortable.smile

I got a Sleep Science split king adjustable.  Costco had them for a great deal this month.  Last night was very nice and comfy.  The mattress doesn't hold the heat like my old memory foam mattress.

But here is the "white glove" delivery service...biggrin

It sounds like heaven, JPT. Dang, we belong to Costco. They are still on sale, right?

I might have to take a look!smile
