I wake up at five thirty am and no thread? Where are all you early birds?

I'm up and at work. Soooo glad I have one more night of call. Only been called in once but it's like a black cloud looming over me. Will be a sweet paycheck though. Lots of weekend stuff to do tomorrow. Supposed to rain. I really just need a beach day.
Terrible thing happened last night. Less than a mile from me a man shot and killed an 8.year old, the boys mom and himself.

A beach day sound like so much fun. I wanna come!
I've been up. But it would seem I feel asleep on the couch last night and overslept. Not late to work overslept. But very rushed overslept. And of course, the dog wanted to sniff every stinkin blade of grass this morning. I finally dragged him inside before having to murder him

Took my kids to work yesterday. They had an amazing time. Learned about the brain, and how scientists get funding for their projects. Held brains, eyeballs. Lots of fun stuff for the children. I'm wiped out.
Sad about the news, Lily. Horrible.
DG-another reason I would never get a dog. Too much work. I have enough on my hands just raising children.
I have a free weekend! No basketball. Waaaahhh! DD's last basketball tourney will be in Erie next weekend. This weekend going to clean the house and try to just get some work done. Nothing much else planned.

Well, I've been in such a good mood this whole week. I'm struggling to keep it going today.
Here it is Friday, usually one of my favorite days. And, it's pouring rain. Again. I'm going to need some goggles and flippers soon. My back yard is flooded.
Huey, who just had his check up at the Vet on April 3, is on day 3 of tossing up. All over the house. Does he ever hit the tile? Nope. More carpet cleaning for me. Sigh.
And a 3:20pm. Vet appointment for Huey. (With the Vet who always gives me a hard time about Huey's weight! LOL! God is punishing me! For what? I don't know!)
Fingers crossed, that we just need to try a different Rx food, and that it's not something serious.
Indiana made the national news again...Stage collapsed during a musical at a local high school. Twelve students were injured, but thankfully, no one was killed.

Thanks flan. I'll let you know how it goes.
I saw that on the morning news. I'm glad no one was killed.
And, my day just keeps getting better!
Jessi just called. She's running a fever and can't go to work today. She was wondering if I could take her to the doctor at 2:00.
I told her that Mere can run her to the doctor, so I can keep the Vet appt. for Huey.
Fingers crossed that Jessi doesn't have anything serious wrong.
Well, jeez. Just when I thought my day couldn't possibly get any worse.
More bad news.
My niece, Stephanie, the one who has been struggling with severe migraines for many years, is back in the hospital.
This time they have put her in isolation, in the mental ward. (She's been dealing with depression and panic disorder for a while now. I don't know all the details, but she could sure use some prayers, for any of our Geeks who have a few to spare.)
I'm so sad. I think I'm going to have a little cry.
Be back later, Good Geeks.
I hope no one else is having the kind of day I'm having.
The receptionist is out today, so I'm answering the main phone line. Our controller has a kinda hard to pronounce last name. I've been cracking up at the ways people are guessing. I've heard it three different ways today.
