I'm dragging a little. The storms kept me up until after midnight. I kept checking the radar.
Thankfully, the bad stuff missed us. I haven't done the check of the roof with my binoculars yet, but, I don't expect to find any damage. (Fingers crossed.)
I need to throw on some clothes so I can give Jessi a ride to work. She starts at 8 am. today.
Morning everybody. Mondays seem to roll around so quickly. There is a new reality show called Married at First sight that I have become addicted to. I DVRd a bunch & spent yesterday afternoon binge watching. I did get some laundry done & cleaned my bath tub.
For the last 8 months, I have been taking my boys in for their allergy shots. One vial containing mold and dust mites for #1, was apparently never filled. So every week for the past 8 months he has been receiving saline. Fortunately the vial containing the environmental allergies was filled and he is reaching maintenance dosage for that one. But still...he has to start over with the dust mite/mold now. Today was his first shot from that new vial. He tolerated it well.
So this leads me to the question....is it necessary? He has been doing so well and is off all medications (unless sick with a virus)...I'm seriously thinking of taking him back to Hershey where he had such a horrible reaction he landed in the hospital and see how he does.
That seems a little scary to me FNW. I'd be so afraid he'd have another really bad reaction but I guess it will let you know once and for all if he really needs it or not.

Have you (insurance) been paying for the dust/mold shot? I'd be pissed off. And if he is doing well without it I don't think I'd subject him to a second shot.
Not sure what's marvelous about it. We had thunder and lightening all night. The dogs were awake and all over me.
FNW, that sucks that the doctor did that. I would be upset. But if he's doing well I would think about not giving him the other stuff.

He's doing well as far as environmental allergies. Not sure about dust mites, and wouldn't know until he's exposed, hence, the idea to return to the scene of the crime, so to speak. But this time I would have steroids with me, JIC, and be prepared to return home in the dead of night.
Darnit, I thought my appointment was at one and just looked at the paper. It's at two. I have shopping to do. I could do that but I need to get milk, cream, and cheese and it's 80 here today. I don't want that stuff sitting in my car during my appointment. What to do....

Or shop for non-perishables . . . shoes, jewelry, crafting supplies . . .
Then I'd spend money and have a mad DH!

Or take the bag with milk & cheese in with you. I have carried a frozen dinner into the dentist office before because it was the middle of summer & 90.
Um no. Usually just go to the store and straight home.

I really don't want to do that. They'll think I'm nuts!

LOL, I guess I just don't care. I'd just say I went to the grocery & don't want it to spoil in the heat. It seems reasonable to me.
I hung around the house. I made beds and did a few things. So I'll go in a few and then come home and stuff around the house will be done.

Lexxy, I finally got a picture of the white irises. It's on the gardening thread.
As for allergies, plants are jizzin all over the place again.
Everything is green an yellow still.

In my temporary position, I got a crappy computer. I need a program installed, and the IT guy is trying to figure out how to make it work with my old computer. Poor guy is stumped. I suggested a new computer, but that didn't fly 😀

Oh thanks! They are lovely. I wouldn't want a completely white garden but I do love the crispness of white.
They are more like a property divider.
That's the only white ones I have ever seen. They were here when we moved in.

I just went electricity shopping, since my old contract with Green Mountain Energy was up.
I found a 6 month, fixed rate plan, for 4.7 cents per kwh! (2000 hrs. or more. 5 cents per kwh for 1000-2000). Best deal I've seen in a while! I hopped on it!
Yay! We can be comfortable this summer, without paying through the nose!
Just took Sonny for a long walk. DD has been at the neighbor's all day. I fed them dinner and they went back to the neighbor's to continue watching Lion King. Saw my cute neighbor when on my walk. Sigh....
Anyway my ears, on top and behind have been itching for weeks! I've tried neosporin gel, hydro cortisone, and one other lotion. Nothing is helping. My Derm is squeezing me in tomorrow morning.I need relief from the itching or I will go insane!

We have several places here to get electricity. We were paying a really high rate and DH called our electric company and threatened to switch companies. Then they offered their competitors rate so we stayed.

Went out it dinner with my dad. I looked up the nutrition info on my dinner. I had crab cakes. Everywhere I look says the crab cake dinner is 270 calories. That just doesn't sound right to me. But good for me of it is.
