Sorry to hear this Tig. Anything can cause heartburn. My is caused more by sweets or strong smells.

Have tried a liquid with the zantac? Liquid is more immediate. Don't get the fruity flavors, they make it worse.

What strength zantac do you have? Make OTC is 40 I believe. Prescription strength is 150. I think that's what mine is. And I sometimes take 2 or 3 a day when I have a flare up. One a day for maintenance.

Go to your doctor if you have this more than a day or worsening. And notice other things. Fatigue, aches, sensations. One of the most missed symptom for women is prolonged heartburn when it comes to hear health.

My mawmaw is in ICU. She was admitted last night. Blood count is dangerously low and her blood is too thin.

She will be there for 4-5 days.

Tig, I feel for you. cry

I almost never get heartburn. Yesterday, I was you. It was so bad, I almost went to the ER, to rule out heart attack. cry

I chewed a couple of Tums, and drank some seltzer water. After a few burps, I felt better.

But, my butt was dragging all day.

I had a touch of heartburn when I was pregnant. I just had to elevate my head more when I slept. But ugh, it was uncomfortable.

I have had reflux and heartburn issues since I was a kid. Had more than a few GI ****tails. Even had liquid Levisin at home to make my own.

The craziest thing was after my heart stent, I rarely have it now.

Sure I have bouts of it but I used to have it daily. To the point throwing up.

A is the same way. Even developed an ulcer at 8 his was so bad.

Thankfully that healed about a year ago.

I know that sounds really dumb when I've never even met some of these people but I still think about them and care about them wish, hope, and pray for the best for them.

DH is staying an extra month too. He won't be home till June 3rd. I'm starting to miss him!

Mix of good and bad day today.

Started on moving the raised garden. DH will not be happy that I moved the cinder blocks without help. Repotted a few plants that needed it. Went to Chiropractor. Had lunch out, broccoli soup and salad bar.

I think I mentioned before that my mom has a half brother that we had not been in contact with for about 30 years until his daughter found me. Well, found out he died this morning. At least he reconnected with my mom.

Lily - I take Zantac 150. That is OTC in Canada. Last night I took 2 and then another 45m later.

I swear I didn't eat the wrong thing, or lie down just after eating! The heartburn kicked in about 4-5 hours after my last meal.

Yep. That's what I take.

Sometimes it flares for no reason.

I keep the liquid around for immediate symptom control.

My BIL is in the hospital for the second time in less than a week. His blood sugar is off the charts. They can't figure it out so he will have to see an endocrinologist. He's been on oral meds for 10 years and takes good care of himself. He's the same age as me. Really scary.

Finals went pretty good. Well, one was okay but the rest were good. Still waiting for final grades to be posted. Unless thy grade stupid things weird, I should have at least a "B" in everything.
