I probably will go, one day. I'd rather take a ship, when I go.smile

Maybe I'll plan it for right after Wayne retires.

I'd enjoy going by ship, much more than being trapped on a dang plane.

I hate flying. furious

That's a shame she doesn't want to go. But it's her choice, and if she isn't comfortable, why push it.

Italy isn't that long of a flight for us. No worse than flying to California. Now Japan, that was a whopper.

I agree, FNW.

She's not excited to go. I'm not going to push it.

The money can be better spent doing some work on our house.

It's getting to that age where a lot of things need updating.

I'll work on that.smile

If you drive to the Louisiana office, you can get your passport in a day.

Not this time, LL.

I'd really rather spend the 3 grand or so, on furniture and flooring.wink

If Mere had been psyched to go, I would have happily sent her, with her Dad.

She doesn't want to go. I don't want to go.

If Wayne wants to take a couple of vacation days, and bum around on his own, that will have to do, this time around.smile

(Wayne makes shopping trips to Europe every couple of years. If He's not buying for his own plant, the company counts on him to pick out machines for California and Youngstown. There will be other opportunities to go.smile

I'm just not psyched, to go right now.)

Hopefully Mere will get a call about a job and you can start planning your cruise!

That would be ideal, flan.

Honestly, Wayne will probably hang in there for 2 more years.

Once Paul graduates, we don't need the kind of income Wayne makes now.

I'd rather see him retire, and take his pension. And find a low stress job, to pass the time, until he's old enough to take his Social Security.

(If he were in my hair all day long, I'd have to choke him!)wink

Wayne turns 60 in June. His been with the company, 37 years, in June.

He's ready to chuck it, and have some fun.

Two more years, is our battle cry!biggrin

Sounds like a plan.

DH just turned 63 & is still working full time. He loves his job, but it takes a toll on him physically.

Wayne is paranoid that he's going to die young.

(His Dad died of a heart attack, at 60. cry His Dad was also a smoker. Wayne has never smoked.)

The sooner Wayne can leave the stress behind, the better off he'll be.

We can see the end, in sight!smile

 I'm sure that's a big help!

DH's Dad died when he was in college.
