The Clark County School District investigated the donation and determined it violated a code that said girls and boys clubs must have 'equal facilities'

A boys baseball team in Las Vegas are lamenting the loss of a storage shed that was donated to their club, after the local school district determined it 'sexist' and ordered that it be removed.
The baseball booster club at Arbor View High School had originally wanted to build a club house, but one of the parents knew the owner of a company that made precast one-story buildings.
The company ended up offering to completely donate the shed, which was built in September last year and used to store equipment.
However problems arose when the Clark County School District began investigating decided the shed was in violation of a primary code, Fox News reported.

Is this sexist?: A Las Vegas school district has ordered this storage shed used by a boys baseball team be torn down for violating a title that says there must be 'equal facilities for boys programs and girls programs'
That code, Title IX, states: 'No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.'
Therefore, the district said, the shed was a violation because it was unfair to the girls of the school that the boys were privy to such a facility.
'(The title) requires that we have equal facilities for boys programs and girls programs,' district spokesman Joe Murphy told 8 News Now.
'We (now) have a compliance problem.'
Carl Pastrone, whose son plays for the Arbor View Aggies, told Fox News the club went through all the proper channels to erect the shed in the first place.
It was approved by the school and didn't cost the club anything.
To make matters worse, according to Pastrone, the only ones with the problem is the district - and it's the children who will now suffer because of it.
'The girls aren’t complaining,' he told the network.
'It’s totally coming from the school district.'

Angry: Parent Carl Pastrone is outraged at the way the club has been treated over the shed and described it as 'a mess created by adults'
Furthermore the district contracted a local firm to take care of removing the shed, asked the club take care of the cost.
The cost of that was process was tallied at $21,000.
From that sum, $10,000 was taken from the baseball club.
I think if I were those who donated the building, I'd be wanting g my donation back some how.
This is the result when trying to make everything equal. No body gets anything.

Did you SEE the shed? One day of work and a large dumpster, tops.
Yeah. No body is going to do it for free.
And it's cinder block and metal. It isn't going to be pulled down with some rope and a truck.

And who called this to the attention of authorities? The "district" didn't just go out looking for noncompliance. Someone had to have brought it to their attention.
Well, then what are they going to do about Booster clubs? SOme Booster clubs have a LOT of money and some don't. So, yeah, the ones that have a lot of money are going to spend it on their sport and team. Or, are we now going to have redistribution of wealth for them too?
But, yeah, the simple solution seems to be to just build the girls team a shed or let the girls teams use it as well. Sounds like an overzealous or overly spooked School Board or School Solicitor.

That is NOT going to cost $21,000. It shouldn't cost more than $5000 to remove that building.
Ok LL. Ok.

A foundation would be required, and looking at the size I think the building would be more than 21,000, but it is precast not cinder block. It just looks like it.
Depending upon the construction I would think it could be removed or disassembled. Some one would probably take it and pay for the removal if they could keep it.
