Well, I have an autistic son and after the plane thread I don't think it would be good to share. I'd get called all kinds of names.

You're NOT that mother, NJN.

Oh, I most definitely have been. He's my son and I would never lock him in an institution like some would like. I know a lot of people hate kids like my son but I would, and have, done whatever it takes to keep his life good.
I am just really frustrated right now and fairly sure people would tell me how stupid it is and I know of at least one person here who would openly lecture me.

There are three houses on my block that have over grown yards. Two really aren't too bad. They now all have notices on the doors. I imagine it's from the city. The homes are all unoccupied. I wish people would keep their yards up even if they don't live in the house. It really makes the neighborhood look trashy.

I don't think anyone here, hates the child. It's the mother who acted improperly, IMO. But at the same time, I understand and feel for her. I've always said that. I just don't think the airlines were discriminating against the child's disability. The mother made a threat in order to get hot food, and the airline doesn't do threats. Personally, I think this whole ordeal was the mother's way of trying to get her 15 minutes so she could use it to "educate", i.e., admonish the public for what she views as ignorance towards autism. She's using the airline as her personal soapbox.
Trust me, no one with an autistic child wants fame or to educate the public by having their family thrown off a plane. That doesn't even make sense to me. We know that most of the public doesn't like us around. We already live with that. When we see a meltdown coming we will say anything, do anything, to stop it. We just don't want other people to have to experience what we experience. And that's the last I'll comment on it because the hatred on that thread made me so incredibly sad I can't even describe it. So let's keep that thread over there and leave this to be the daily.

Trust me. The hatred on that thread was directed at the lawsuit... which was misplaced. No need for a lawsuit. omg. I live with my autistic step daughter. There are so many people dealing with this. You are not alone. I don't take anything personally from a thread on a message board. Stop. This isn't about you. Unless you are going to start suing people!

It's just sad to see so much hatred in this day and age. That's what bothers me.

Mow their lawns and put your's on the market and get out of there. You do know what happens to a neighborhood with empty houses? Crack!

It's Thursday people... and it's halftime. Cavs/Bulls. We need the Cavs to end this series! Not sure if any of you pay attention to the NBA semi finals... but us Clevelander's are all in!

It's NHL all the way in this house, never NBA. Let's go Tampa bay.
Bunny is singing in his room. "All ba ba bass, no trouble. All ba ba bass, no trouble."
He's lucky he's so cute. He was a real pill this evening.
That's a really cute commercial. I only have one complaint about it. Some of those kids look like they are four or five. Way too old to be in diapers.

I think it's supposed to be that song, "all about that bass". Did they use that in a commercial? We don't watch television, so I never see any commercials.

Yes. It's a take off on that song. They used the song and twisted the words a tiny bit to make it cute and funny. I think the commercial is adorable and definitely catchy. I know they used older kids because there is no way they're gonna get a one year old to perform like those kids do. It's very cute but every time I see it I say "Those kids shouldn't be in diapers!"

You haven't seen the commercial? Yes, it's a commercial for Honest Diaper Company. They use that song and have all these little kids dancing around and the music says, "It's all about da bass no trouble, no trouble..." The kids are all being silly. Adorable kids too. Gah, now I have the commercial running through my mind and it won't stop.

Nah. I'll stick with the diaper commercial. Do you think they would care if I wrote them and recommended potty training some of those kids?
