Inching is right! Like a turtle. A little rainy here today but at least it keeps the pollen levels down. Any suggestions on what to bring a friend? She had carpal tunnel surgery yesterday. I wanted to bring something by her house tonight. She can't have plants because her cat will attack them.

I have a cold now. #2 is better and will return to school.

A storm came through last night and wet things down.

IKWTDS...a package of fancy straws since she can't use her hands to eat. (I have food on the brain). Maybe you can bring her dinner?

Got back from taking the boys to school and realized I was starving.

So some toast and eggs hit the spot.

Nap soon.

FNW, sorry you are sick. Glad #2 is feeling better.

We have a lot of deadlines to meet for Friday orders, so I'm sure the week will fly by for me.

I was so excited to put up a sign on our shop door saying "We'll be closed on Monday"

I am still exhausted from my weekend.

Saturday for prom with all the girls over to get ready after the game, I had 3 moms over to help me out. I went yesterday and grabbed the moms a small bouquet to thank them. They were life savers.

Sunday, DD's team lost in the state final game. DH's team lost in double overtime in the last 40 seconds of the game. Heartbreaking. Just devastating. But this too shall pass. One of the girls was injured in DH's game and I drove her to the hospital so the trainer could stay for the rest of the game. Turns out she broke her leg pretty badly. I stayed with her while they stabilized it, she will be having surgery this morning to set it. Her parents live in Canada so I am Mom's stand in. Been texting them both almost constantly. Got a beautiful vase of flowers from her parents as a thank you. Very nice of them.

Student Government had their end of year meeting and wanted a special dinner. Back in February I told them I would make my famous meatballs for them. Didn't realize it would be the Monday after prom and State. Spent all day in the kitchen making 52 meatballs, homemade sauce, and spaghetti for them. Dinner was a huge hit. I took some candy from work for them and they loved it. The President (18 year old hockey player) ate 16 meatballs himself! I got lots of hugs from them. Such good kids.

Today, I need a day off from my weekend off. Lol.

This weekend DH and I are going to St Paul overnight. I told him already, no phones, no computers...totally unplugged. He agreed. We need it.

That sounds like a very busy weekend. You didn't make any meatballs for the Geeks?? Every time you mention your homemade meatballs & sauce my mouth waters. It's like a Pavlovian response.

I had a weird dream. Still scratching my head.

I dreamed I was in a waiting room at a hospital. And I was pregnant. But it was someone else's baby. I was carrying the baby for them.

I was walking back to the room but didn't make it. Had the baby at the nurses station. No one else around anywhere.

Then I was trying to tell the mom he was here but I couldn't get her on the phone. So I was just standing there with a baby trying to phone and text the real mom.

I woke up thinking "what?"

LOL Yes Lexxy it does.  I am very open about my extremely dysfunctional family and all the abuse I suffered at my mothers hand.  Our family is beyond crazy and into something from a novel.  You know how they always say when someone is writing a book, "You can't make this stuff up."?  This is my family.  People wouldn't believe it.  But it's all true.

Finally been sitting down and catching up on the boards. Been a busy day so far with more to go.

Funeral this morning for other Uncle, then had breakfast out. The only reason I went to this was because my mother asked me to represent our family. It was my dad's brother. I still have no idea what my cousins look like. They were not up front or anywhere that I could see. I think one of them was up front when I was leaving but who knows. Last time I saw them was 1988 at my grandfathers funeral. Can you tell we are not close?

Home Depot to get the rest of the cinder blocks for garden and finished building the walls. Planted the tree the electric company sent for Arbor Day (arrived late last week). Planted several other containers with the plants I bought on Saturday. Still have more to plant. I think I need to get more pots. Most of the ones I have are plastic, older and starting to crack apart. Caught up with neighbor #1 and set up to borrow their truck later this week.

Still need to finish getting the house ready for Mom and BF to arrive tomorrow. I need to finish cleaning up, set up the futon, hide any goodies I don't want to share.

I also need to start doing some of the reading and work for Class #1. She wants us to introduce ourselves by PowerPoint. Class #2 does not start until 11:59 Wednesday night.

I also need to shower again and be ready for my 6:00 massage appointment that is desperately needed. Either DH will come with me and we will eat dinner out, or I will pick up take out on the way home. Or DH will cook dinner.

And somewhere in there, I need to find the time to replant the succulents that have outgrown their containers and plant the new ones we got.

And finish grocery shopping.

I'm tired.

No no no.  You did NOT come off as snarky AT ALL!  Seriously.  I come from a family of nine kids.  My brother is pretty messed up too.  We don't get along.  He was one of my mom's favorite children.  In our family some of the children were loved and some weren't.  It's just the way it was.  I understand that many can't understand where I came from or what my family life was like.  There are some stories, that if I told them, people would call me a liar.  It's just because our family really was THAT crazy.  I suffered years upon years of beatings along with mental and emotional abuse.  My mom would literally say, "I will love you if..." and then we had to try to win her love.  It was a constant battle to please her and make her love you.

I have come to face the reality of my life.  The majority of my siblings have not.  Some have turned to drugs and alcohol.  I don't fault them.   It's their way of dealing with it.  It's very hard to admit your parents don't really care for you.

NJN, I just want to wrap you in a big hug. I am glad you found a good loving man. Everybody deserves to be loved.

I'm watching this new show called Married at First Sight where they match unknown people to be married. One of my favorites is a girl named Jamie who came from a totally screwed up family. The first requirement on her list was that her husband come from a good solid loving family because that is one of the things her life needed.

Have you seen the one where they have, I thinks 90 days to marry. They have 90 days because one of them is from a foreign country and they have to marry before their visa runs out.

Yeah. I am. And as such I know that karma doesn't exist.

I also know that I am so very thankful Jesus didn't have that attitude.

He was beaten beyond recognition by his own people and still died loving them and for them and forgave them.

Yeah. We all have stories of how we have been mistreated. But to delight in another's misfortune is wrong. No matter what they have done to you.

So you want to throw that Christian thing around like it's an insult. Guess what? It isnt.

Big deal.  So is my brother.  So is my mother who beat the ever living chit out of me almost every day of my life.  Yeah, that doesn't impress me much.

I do talk about my brother from time to time. But I don't say he has had anything coming to him.

I also talk about the good he does.

Like driving 4 hours, one direction every other weekend to be with his kids. Or to go to one of their recitals, plays or games at any time through the week. He doesn't complain about paying his child support and he gives more every time he can. He calls, Skype and stays in contact with his kids on a daily basis.

My brother may get on my nerves, but he is a hell of a man and am proud to call him my brother.

As for my morals, have you EVER seen any where that I said I was proud of any thing I have ever done that was wrong or hurtful? No. You havent. I own my past. I carry full responsibility for my actions. I don't hide or try to sugar coat them. I don't wear them like a badge of honor either. I don't pull out the past and use it to build a pity party for myself. What happened in my past, is in my past.

So you go ahead and make your little remarks about me and my past. If you get a fact wrong, I will correct you. I have nothing to hide.
