I definitely have an interesting family!

And, in all fairness to my mom, she also informed him/us that my sister is having one boy and one girl twins.  I've long suspected they either used something like Clomid or did IVF but I don't care enough to ask.  She also said my brothers house was okay except for the laundry room which was a total loss and that the whole house has smoke damage.  She said his divorce was final and both he and my ex SIL are dating new people.

None of this information matters to me.  Although the opening the murder investigation makes for great conversation.

DD7 brought home a backpack full of papers and projects that I have to go through and figure out what to do with. She will want to keep IT ALL.

ONE Bin.  Get a bin, put her stuff in it - tell her that is it for all 13 grades, she needs to choose what is important.  If it gets to full, she can purge later when her perspective changes.

That is a good idea. I do something similar that is not working out. I have a large shoe box on a shelf in my closet that I told her I kept special pictures, but she started putting all her pictures in there. And this is a girl who colors, writes, and draws every day, 15-20 pages, EVERY DAY. But if I give her her own bin, that will put the responsibility on her.

FWM, it took DH six hours to program the remote you gave me. It's supposed to hold seven devices but he couldn't get the Wii connected. No big deal. He did manage to get the tv, the dvd, and the direct tv all programmed in. It's very complicated to use! But the one nice thing I like is when you touch it at night all the buttons light up. Then after you put it down they fade out. Kinda nice.

I really like the glowy buttons. You can tell it doesn't take much to impress me.
