Spouse has custom made underpants.

She wears them "inside out"  so the seams don't press into her skin, to avoid that irritation. (The label is then on the outside too.)

The issue came up this morning, because she's going to get a CT scan, and people will be seeing her underpants, and that she's wearing them inside out.

I think, first, no one will care. At all.

Second, if someone says something, and she explains, they will think it's a good idea and might start doing that themselves.

Any thoughts?

I bet inside out underpants will not even be noticed by people doing a CT scan.
You know they had to have seen many things far more unusual that.

I can't get past the part where she has custom made underwear. I've never heard of that before.

If it was me, I would wear them the right way to my appointment. It's only a couple hours.

She will have a gown. No one will see her underwear.

You can always cut the tag.

Last few times I had a CT, I didn't undress from waist down.

My first thought too.  My second is if they are custom made why doesn't she have them sewn so the seams & tag are already on the outside?

Mine are VS & they have been tagless for years.  I think most off the rack things are these days.

They don't sound very custom made to me. If I get something custom made, it will be made the way that makes me most comfortable. Something's not adding up here...

I'd like to know what possible reason there could be for custom made underwear. Unless she's obese and can't find a pair that fits this doesn't even make sense.

She was wearing scrub pants, no metal, so she didn't take them off. She did take off her bra.

Yes, custom because she's ... big. 5 feet 0 inches, 200 pounds. The shop is on California, we're in New York, so they started with the measurements she gave them, then made changes she wanted over the years

For a while she had them made with the waistband sewn inside out, then figured out it was easy to just wear them inside out.

If she was willing, I would send her there to be measured. But she doesn't travel, for several reasons.

The test took 3 minutes.

Radiologist will examine them and report to her PCP.

They should have told her to start drinking the contrast media earlier, not only 6 and 3 hours ahead of the scan. 18 / 12/ 6/ 3 would have been better.

I buy Lane Bryant undies and all the seams are hidden. The elastic waistband is on the outside and they are tagless. But then, I don't buy old lady panties either.

They kind of sound like they are made that way.  The tag and seems are on the outside, she just needs to call the inside the outside.  :)  Unless there is pattern.

My custom clothes either have no tag or a tag that can be ripped out as the stitching is not part of the construction of the clothes.

 To the office.

I traveled to Bahrain for a while.  Dress shirts were about $25 and slacks about $35, so I bought a lot.

I like the shirts with French cuff and Fly front (hidden buttons), as well as picking all the other options.  White cuffs, collar, pleat etc...

It seems the cuffs are making a come back, especially on shark tank.  Most all my cuff links are from antique shops or my fathers.  I have been wearing French cuffs for decades.  With the white cuffs and collar I have an 1/8 stripe of the shirt material sewn in along the edge.  My next set I am looking for something similar to the attached.

Keep telling him everything he wants to hear because that's so helpful. You've got him convinced he's doing the right thing for his wife when really it's just enabling her histrionics. You keep telling him that the way he talks about young girls is fine and I'll keep telling him it's weird. I don't think ed's a "nut job". I just don't think he knows how he sounds to others.

If it would me I would wear them they way I want without a second thought, as long as they were clean. Maybe they will just think she is on the second day of the pair.

What determines they are inside out? Just the seems and tag? If they are custom I am sure she could have them made without a tag, its not like a tailor expects to get business from someone seeing it. Being custom she could have them made they way she wants.

Interesting.  I've not seen that before.  It looks a lot less classic than the French cuffs.  I have always been a fan.  It is just so dignified & rich looking.  Especially when they shoot their cuffs on tv to check their Rolex or other expensive time piece. smile
