We recently had the biker shoot out.  Nine gang members died.  I was shocked that it happened here.  Well, the things going on now are even more unbelievable.

The facts are that the restaurant was encouraging the bikers to gather and recruit new members.  The police had heard of ongoing threats.  They had upped police coverage in that area and kept SWAT on standby.  They were in a hyper alert state.  Then the two biker groups had the fight and started shooting at each other.  When the cops arrived a few minutes later they turned the guns on the cops so yes, four of the bikers were killed by cops.  It's what the cops were trained to do.  The news went international and it took days to clean up and investigate.

And now the conspiracy people are out in droves.  It's unbelievable.  The newest theory is that the whole crime scene was a set up by the police department because they have it out for bikers.  I read an article by a female biker who said that the police, FBI, and ATF spent weeks, even months or years, staging this shoot out.  They claim there were no bodies, no blood, and no bullets.  It was all staged.  And the news media went along with it so that the police could arrest innocent bikers.  They say it took so long to clean up the scene because they had to sneak the fake bodies out.

So let's look at this.  Scenario one, biker thugs got in a fight and shot each other.  Scenario two, years of planning by all the government agencies and bringing in of fake dead bodies.  Also alerting the news world wide.  All because they wanted to arrest bikers they didn't like.

Hmmmm, which one is more believable?

Now some bikers are saying they are going to sue the police department because if they had knowledge there was going to be a crime committed they should have stopped it before it happened.  Um, WTF?  The police can't just go around arresting people on the SUSPICION of a crime.  That's not the way it works.  And some are saying they are going to sue because they lost their jobs while sitting in jail.

One biker wife went on the news and said her DH was completely innocent.  He was jailed for no reason.  They interviewed the DA and he said that they have talked to her DH and he refuses to talk to them.  That he just keeps saying he has nothing to say.  How does she think they're going to let him out if he won't cooperate?

This seemed so cut and dry.  I really can't believe all the crap that is going around now.

Goes without saying the first scenario is the best and probably the only one. Seeing government conspiracy behind every single thing is getting a bit old. Too much paranoia out there.

But, I have to say I am glad I live in a relatively quiet, calm society. Some of the things the Geeks post are almost unbelievable and a lot of the news items from the States are really scary. Oh, we have our share of nuts, but seem to be on a smaller scale.

NJN, please do not get caught up in any of these shoot outs, etc...

I'm not surprised that the conspiracy theory nuts are all over this. They probably got tired of talking about the fake moon walks and the CIA or Cubans killing Kennedy.

Scary that it happened near you, and I'm glad you're okay.

Good advice NJN. There is no reason other than desperation that these theories are even given the light of day. It's always someone elses fault or some kind of conspiracies these days because no one wants to take responsibility.

Well, unless it's completely random we won't. We don't go out to eat a lot and definitely not during the peak times when most of these things seem to happen. We're homebodies. Hopefully we'll never get in the crossfire. There is a biker group that rides around our town but they are a bunch of old vets. They do toy drives and collect food for the homeless. They ride in all the parades. There's a veterans bar not too far from where we live and you can always see a few of them there. I've met a couple when we have gone in. They raise money by selling smoked hams at Easter and Christmas, briskets on other holidays. We have bought some from there. DH used to drink there in his old drinking days.

Most bikers do not belong to the one percenters. I don't know a lot about biker gangs other than from tv but it's like anything else. There's always that 1% that makes all the others look bad.

Yes, that's true TD. These two groups that were involved have been under watch for quite awhile because of their various activities. Most biker groups are more like a club.

G is an honorary member of the Banditos...confuse They are fans. When he heard about this, he was all worried that LEO would find his picture on some clubhouse wall and question him. Hand to God, I kid you not...

Conspiracy theorists like this almost make me think that the people who talk about alien abductions and finding Bigfoot, are the sane ones.

I dont' understand why fake bodies being snuck out would take so long. Wouldn't they just wrap it up, stick it in the back of an ambulance and take it back to wherever it came from?? Who comes up with this stuff?

The gov't always have infiltrators in the gangs keeping an eye on them. My guess is that is what the gang members are referring to.

Yes.  The local police and FBI have had infiltrators in these two biker gangs for a long time due to their connection with drugs, prostitution, and several other illegal activities.  The gangs are saying if they knew the fight was going to go down they should have done something to stop it before it happened.  But it's kind of you know against the law to arrest someone for something they haven't done yet.
