Enjoy those girls, I remember those days. Found out Friday that my son and dil are having a boy. We are so excited and it was so awesome getting to see him on ultra sound. He was moving around a lot and scratching his nose and flexing his fingers.

Hot, clear day here. Humidity high. Only good thing is that corn on the cob has appeared in the supermarket... First of the season.

Still old fashioned enough to eat vegetables in season as much as possible.

Fabulous, Karl! Have you grilled it yet? Corn becomes super, super sweet when grilled. Open, but do not remove the husks. Remove the silks. Spread the cold ears with a compound butter. Smooth the husks back into place. Put on indirect heat for about 15 min. Yum yum yum!

Time to get up, shower and head towards MILs. We have to take her some clothes and other stuff while she is at rehab. Bring her car back here for inspection. Then I have two papers to write that need to be about a page each. And start looking for internship/practicum sites.

Morning all! Don't know yet what the day will bring. I'll send boys off with DH to lunch and library so I can have some peace and quiet. And they get a day with daddy. Tomorrow thinking of taking the boys on a pirate ship, depends on weather.

The girls have requested burrito bar for dinner. I did it for them last year and they loved it. Apparently they have been begging DD to have me make it again. No problem! I love to cook for people who are so appreciative of it.

Isn't that great?! I love when DD's friends ask if they can watch a movie and I get them orange soda and make them popcorn, or grill steak tips. I don't mind because they appreciate it and are letting me know that is a fond memory they have of me.

Sounds like almost everyone is having a good day! Concerts, babies, alone time, appreciation, engagements!

Breakfast was buffet at Golden Corral since I had a 50% off coupon so less than $10 for both of us. It was better than I expected. Lots of variety and different stuff like country fried bacon and three kinds of french toast. No, I did not eat it all. The fruit they had was very unimpressive.

MIL has her own clothes now so she does not have to walk around in hospital gowns. We have her car here and will get it into the shop on Monday.

I am putting off writing the papers I need to do. I have been checking the boards, facebook, anything but what I need to do.

I am listening for Mr. Softee to come around. Missed him. Damn he is driving fast today - normally he sits in from mt of my house for 10 minutes because of the kids across the street.

Oh, and Brother apologized via facebook for being a jurk last night. I am still in silent mode.

We made one trip to Golden Corral years ago. I was sickened by the amount of food that was thrown away. Never again.
