Why is it when a woman does stuff around the house all day it's just what is supposed to happen. But when a man does something productive for 15 minutes the world must stop and take notice...

O M G. I KNOW!!! When a woman has a day off from work, it's a day full of chores and housework. When a man has a day off from work, he can't even bother to take his glass to the kitchen because his butt is stuck to the couch.

All these kids I have in the house this week - and I am cooking and cleaning up after them. Gladly I admit, I enjoy having them. But DH did a load of towels and he is strutting around the house like he cured cancer. We get it! You did a load of laundry - good for you ! Want a sucker?! Lol He made me breakfast in bed - guess who had to do the dishes from that little adventure?! This girl.

LOL MM yes, I know. I worked out, planned dinner, did four loads of laundry, supervised the kids chores, laid out clothes for SS and thought about what I need to take out for dinner tomorrow. DH changed a bike tire. BIKE, not car. He's so proud of himself!

That woman was blessed!I hope the 18 wheeler was ticketed and had the truck impounded.

It was actually quite terrifying.  When it was done and over and we were leaving the store we looked back at it.  The 18 wheeler wasn't even damaged.  That poor ladies car was beyond totaled.  To see it happen is...  I don't have a word for it.  The sights and sounds of it.  They stay with you.  She's so lucky to be alive.

OMG, DH and I went to the grocery store to use our bonus points on gas in the Jeep and get one thing I needed to pick up. We were standing there filling up when an 18 wheeler ran a light and plowed over a Honda. We ran over to help the woman. Car was totaled. I mean almost in half. He took the front part of the car off the car. Other than soreness there were no obvious injuries. She said she had back pain and a finger hurt. If that truck had hit the drivers side door she likely would have been dead. The truck driver was driving without a license. The whole thing was terrifying. It makes you realize how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away.

I'm glad she's ok!

How scary.

I'm glad she wasn't badly hurt.

Those kind of accidents are scary even when you are not involved.

I must have really lucked out in the DH department. He just does the chores around here that need to be done. He mops, vacuums, cleans the bathroom, dusts, whatever needs to be done. We share the cooking and the cleaning up. He does his own laundry. He parented his child and never babysat him.

jlbear, sometimes he's really really super good about stuff. He'll get up and do things without asking. He goes out of his way to do things. But then there are days where I am bustling around the house doing things and he seems like he goes out of his way to get in my way. He doesn't do it on purpose but it's aggravating. Also, I think I've been aggravated lately. He likes to eat the same couple dishes every couple days. I get tired of it. I think I just need to be more assertive at times. But then I think I don't want to be the wife that tells her husband how it's going to be constantly.
