They are twins who grew up together in a very very tough industry. Most child stars have no one to turn to who understands their lives, these two have each other. So they are close. And their twin-ness is part of their brand. So they work that angle whenever they have to. Like at industry events.

I think they have done an amazing job navigating their unique experiences. They turned a hobby into an award winnifn business and became billionaires. Good for them.

Their accomplishments are not in dispute at all from my end, just the fact that they seem to always look like they would rather be else where when their picture is taken at these types of events. I can only imagine the blah this type of life must be if it's been life since infancy.

So I think they are just trying to cover up their shape in order to save themselves the grief of hearing about how thin they are. And I don't blame them. It would be awfully annoying to see/hear people commenting about your weight all the time when they are so much more than their body type.

 Yes, I would think it would get tiring to have your body constantly commented on.  I'd rather the comments were on my unflattering clothes than the actual state of my body, in their position.

 I must have missed the "tar & feathering."

The difference with the Olsen twins is that they CHOOSE to be in the spotlight. Many times child actors leave the limelight & lead "ordinary" lives.

 Yes, you do like to ignore the obvious quite often.

But you are right - it is his wife that chose to write an article and subject their relationship to public scrutiny.  She's such a wonderful catch.

Although, I have to say I don't find the twins being publicity whores.  They just go about their life - it's the media that puts them in the spotlight.
