Yep. That's what I'm going with.

Was thinking about pickin up something good for the grill. It's Friday, gonna be a gorgeous evening. So why not.

Might even build a little bon fire, roast some marshmallows.

Of course that's after I go to sleep and wake up again.

Mom picked up some new furniture. The sectionals we have are probably a good 15 or more years old. She got a sofa, coffee and end tables for the den and a love seat for the living room.

It's coming Saturday so what we have is being hauled off today.

The big problem I see is Monster is losing his window seat.

Gonna have to find him another.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful Friday.

Ok had to laugh at this.  When I bought new furniture a couple of years ago I too had to arrange it in such a way that Sonny could still look out the window.

That's a lot of pie. Wow.

Today I am off but doing all the housecleaning/laundry I have been putting off all week. And watching the last season of Sons of Anarchy while I do it. Really, it's just an ok show but once I got in I was determined to just finish it.

Friday!!!! Today is the day I an going to get caught up on everything. Housework and homework. I hate feeling behind, especially when it's only by a little bit. Of course, that means actually getting up and doing it.

Housework - need to change the sheets and do that laundry. Wipe down the sink and toilet in the bathroom. DH needs to scrub the tub. And I should run the steam mop over the floors.

Homework - I need to finish my "interview" preparation summary including how to deal with interview anxiety, how to prepare for interview and how to respond if it does not go well. And set up appointments for interviews.

Good news, MIL is being discharged from rehab this weekend. She was going to come home tomorrow but I was worried about her spending her first night alone. Saturday night is date night but we would deal if she came home tomorrow. She decided to stay until Sunday (she has a choice) since BIL2 is coming Sunday-Monday. We have been her primary caretakers and she wants us to be able to relax and recharge too. Also found out that SIL and her DH went away for their 20th anniversary. Which is why she hasn't been helping MIL this week. Would have been nice if they told anyone. No wonder she never answered MILs calls this week.

ETA: MIL is the one who insisted years ago that DH and I have a date night to recharge so she is reluctant for us to change it unless absolutely necessary. I don't want her to be alone and she does not want us to change date night. That is why she is choosing to stay until Sunday. She was also VERY insistent that I take all the cash she had in her purse to reimburse us for all we have done these last few weeks for her. I still don't feel comfortable doing that so I am adding it to the vacation fund for when I take her to the beach for a week.

Gotta leave work early at 2:00. Had a mammogram recently and the radiologist wants extra views today. Darn!

But it's not the waiting for the results I hate. It's wondering if I'll get stuck in the machine.

Ever since my friend had her mammogram when the technician fainted and she got stuck in the machine, I'm anxious about it.

One of those nightmares you never think will happen, but it does.

And the place where I go, the emergency pull string is never reachable from where I am in the machine. How stupid is that?

So I have to make sure I look at the floor pedals and memorize which one releases the machine upward. Don't want to hit the down one by mistake!

Why is fried chicken better cold the next day?

I'm weird. It it's hot, I want thighs. If it's cold I want breasts.

Still waiting for the guys to come get the furniture.

You don't have to have the nightmare. Just ask them to point out the pedals on the floor. I'm glad this happened to my friend, because I never would have found out for myself how to save myself!

I had a leak under my sink & had to drag everything out.  Oh the stuff we shove to the back.  I have enough glass & counter cleaner to last me a while.  It is also nice & neat under there now.  At least for now.

I had to pick up my friend and drive across town (about 35 minutes normally, but there was a bad crash on the interstate so it took longer). The pizza place is crazy popular & we wanted to beat the lunch rush.

Yeah I know. I should probably get one.

Honestly, I never went to a doctor unless I just had to. Never did the annual check up of any kind.

And lots of that stuff has restrictions with the insurances I have had.

But yeah. I need to.

I do self check though.

Not really.  If there is no family history and you are under the age of 40 (or did they change it to later than that), then there would be no need for lily to have a mammogram.

I have a family history and have been getting them since age 29 sporadically.  I am 6 months overdue for both my pap and mammo.  I need to work on that.

Oh and groceries bought.

Saved a nice chunk of change today.

Chicken leg quarters, love to BBQ those, we're .69 a pound. Had an in store coupon for pork. Got a meals worth of nice, thick pork chops free. Also had an in store coupon for beef. Got a little over 2 pounds of gr. beef for free.

Produce was on sale too. 2 pounds of fresh strawberries were $2.89. Everything was on sale.

And with my MVP card I saved another $50 on top of the it her stuff.

Awesome.

Love saving money.

I probably should have one. I am 45 now and my paternal grandmother was a 10 yr survivor of breast cancer.

But like I said, I self check. And from what I read, that is how most of the breast cancers are first found.

For me, the procedure was worse than the prep. For anybody who has had IBS (like me), the prep is been there, done that. Nothing new.

For the procedure, they didn't give me enough conscious sedation and I was totally alert through the whole thing. Painful.

I have a "twisty colon", they said. I didn't speak up enough about the pain.

Next time I will ask for more sedation.

If it hurts or you're still awake, you can ask for more.

For most people I've talked to, they don't remember anything and it felt like they were asleep throughout the procedure.
