Not sure about the warming drawer. Seems like a dumb gimmick.

I think it's only useful for people that make large family meals on a very regular basis.  Otherwise - it's just nice for hotdog buns.

Does anyone remember when that space below was used as a broiler?

Just FYI, keep your broiler pan if you have one...new stoves don't come with them anymore.

I love my induction range. I can bring an 8 qt pot of cold water to a full rolling boil in about 5 minutes.

Ok geeks. I just found out I have a convection oven. I have no idea what that means or how to use it.

It means heaven.  Cooking/baking times are less!

You have a choice. You can not use it. You can cook at your usual temperature, with faster results. Or you can reduce the temperature and cooktime is the same, but with juicier results. At least that's how I understand it. I never use mine, as it requires too much thinking.

Doesn't whirlpool make most brands these days?

I have convection, rarely use it. I'll use it more on my toaster oven than on my regular oven. I have self-cleaning, but the one and only time I used it, it heated so hot it melted something in the oven and I had to have it replaced. So oven-off for me from now on.

I store baking sheets in my warming oven. I do use the warmer on the stove top though. (I have electric). I also use the warm function on my microwave. It really works.

When this one needs replacing, we'll convert to gas. We didn't when we bought this one, because at the time the boys were about 2, grabbing everything, and I was afraid they'd turn the knobs and burn themselves. Hindsight I should have done it anyway, because I never left them alone and that stage didn't last long.

Wow, never had that issue. Once there was cheese on the bottom of the oven when I self cleaned it. Created a lot of smoke for 5 minutes opened the windows and was done.

Yup. I do the cooking so Mama gotta be happy! But really it has as much power as my 36 inch Jenn air did and much less expensive.
