When my kids were babies, changing table were a band new thing. Very few and very, very far between.
I never liked using them. They always seemed nasty to me.
Changing tables are something I didn't notice till I became a parent. I think it's stupid for a restaurant to have a play area but no changing table or, at least, a counter in the bathroom. I'm sure millions of parents made do without them. I like the convenience.
The tire place up the street from us has a changing table but certain restaurants with play areas don't. Go figure. Never mind those restaurants that only have changing tables in the women's room. What? Men don't take their babies out? You should hear DH's blistering critique of anti-Dad views when we come across a place that doesn't have a changing table in the men's room.
There's one restaurant in our area that has a changing table but it's made for short people. It comes to about mid-thigh on me.
Busy day today. Started off with PT in the a.m. Finding that I can do more exercises with my right leg (the one I had knee surgery on) and is minimal weight-bearing, than my left. I was told by two PTs that it was because my left leg was overworked from trying to support my right leg for years. My left leg is actually weaker than my right.
Have a birthday celebration to attend for my two furry nieces. They are 2 years old today and being the doting pet parents, my friends want to celebrate. Bought gifts from Petco, and then off to the grocery store to pick up stuff for the party. My friends could not pick up things since she gets winded from COPD and emphysema, and he is having pain and balance issues from TBI sustained as a soldier in two wars. They do not own a car, nor do I, but I guess I am in better shape than both of them.
So I did a lot of crutching today, and did not eat all morning. Lots to do. I am so tired, my knee is a little painful, and I still have to go to the party. At least their building is only a quarter block from the bus stop. I am sure I will sleep well tonight!
DD's team won their game. The other team was awesome, a great match up. BUT I think my face is a bit sun burned. Great time chatting with the other parents. It is my social life right now. Love it.
DD's father stormed past me several times during the game. I just shrug, at least he came. He takes lots of pics, not that I have seen even one of them. He is such a strange person.

RTL, please take care of yourself. You need to eat, even if only some yogurt. But nice you are getting out and about.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
flan, you need to watch McFarland, USA. Just awesome. SS loved it too.
DG, my husband almost had a conniption fit this afternoon when we turned on Netflix. OITNB is back on starting on the 15th.
