I have to send SS home tomorrow. I'm really going to miss him. We watched DUFF tonight. Kind of a bit much for a ten year old. A lot of bad language and mild sexual scenes. Not really appropriate for kids. He'll be back at some point.

I'm having a really not so awake morning. And it's not that I feel sluggish, I'm just being stupid the whole time.
Point in case.
Get an e-mail from Little Man's speech therapist about a make-up app.
I reply with a concern and a slight adjustment.
I then realised that I misjudged my timing and then piggyback on my above mentioned reply that I am a banana and fix my mistake...
Come to realise I never sent the original reply, so I'm not only a banana, I'm a freakin freak show and the piggyback was on a reply from a much earlier e-mail so all of this this will be coming out of nowhere. Poor woman...
Receive an e-mail.... from me, turns out I sent the piggyback banana split freakshow email to myself, so the therapist never saw ANY of my dessert e-mails.
So I check myself, and calmly reply to the therapists e-mail that her proposed time will suit us while my husband of 11 years today is killing himself laughing at all this.
His only complaint is that I did not come with a health warning... His problem, not mine.

This made me laugh!

Love your post, chille! You always make me smile. :)
Ugh, lots to get done before we are invaded this weekend and it's raining. I'm so glad we got the yard work finished yesterday! Now, laundry and cleaning.
Hope everyone has a great day.

My cabinets will be here today!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!!!Hopefully, we will get some of the demo done this weekend so next weekend they can be installed.

Morning everyone. I am tired today. My neck & shoulder continue to ache so I did not sleep well. I am usually a side sleeper but it hurts less flat on my back so I tried to sleep flat. It didn't work so well. On a positive note I got to work today & Jimmy John's just opened across the street & they dropped off free sample sandwiches so I am happily munching on ham & cheese.
Up and at 'em early this morning. This is my coffee break. I'm in the midst of making/preping the food for Sunday - DH's 75th birthday party. He thinks I've only invited only our immediate neighbors - ha! I'm picking up 4 long tables and 20 chairs on Saturday. All sorts of adult beverages, a pineapple upside-down cake, and 9 different hors d'oeuvres. Plus jalapeno lemonade (from scratch). I'm almost tired just thinking about it!
I like the cabinets. Cherry? We had cherry cabinets in our condo. I miss that kitchen.
Funny, chille!
Attended our annual awards ceremony. I got two. It was peer-nominated, so that means a lot to me.
The pool guys will come out tomorrow and put more stone up on the pool. Since deck guy & I changed the design, more stone is needed before deck can be formed.
The AC where Caitlyn works went out Tuesday. Snakes. Inside the units.
My Internet is down. Using my 4Gs right now. Can't do this for long.
Hope ya'll have a wonder filled day.

I am sick of people freaking out about student loans. You borrowed the money, so you have to pay it back. I wish high schools would do a week long seminar for graduating seniors that covers credit and loans. Someone at my office is freaking out about their pay being garnished for not paying.
Not paying it back was something that never crossed my mind. But having good credit and paying my debts has always been a priority. Maybe because my father was a banker, but keeping control of our finances was taught at a young age.

There was an article this morning about how all the good borrowers that pay are refinancing their student loans into private loans at lower rates. The government is losing the good payers and getting stuck with the ones that don't pay, which means the taxpayers are losing.
That person is cheating you and me and everyone else that pays taxes. Quite frankly - I might fire an employee that got garnished for not paying back student loans.

I think a lot of kids don't think about it in the beginning. Oh, I got into this college and tuition is this much and now I sign on this line....
They have no concept of what being responsible for 100k means. They couldn't get a house loan for that much, I don't get why they are allowed to take out that much student debt.
I think SO's ex is purposely trying to make him mad. Everything he says no to regarding their kid she does the opposite. He feels some things aren't age appropriate, like some video games and some cd's, and he (their son) will tell his mom and she'll go out and buy him whatever it is.
I think it's a little immature but I'm certainly not going to get in the middle. I just feel bad for him because he's frustrated, but that's the joys of split parenting.
Anyway, just another day at work for me. Nice cabinets ohfour! Very shiny!

Feel better, Lexxy! I relate to aching and not sleeping well.
Took a while for Caitlyn to get her loan payments set up so she could repay them. There was a problem between the loan and the bank and something about something that just never made sense.
But it's going swimmingly now.

SS's mom called and is coming to get him two days early. He misses her but was really upset. He didn't want to leave.

I believe I consolidated mine and maybe re-fi'd them to get a lower interest rate. Ultimately paid them off when I re-fi'd my home prior to marrying Mr. FNW. I wanted to go into the marriage debt-free.
RE: Student Loans - that is why there is financial counseling before they will give you a loan now. I've had to complete it twice (once for each school). Takes about 1.5 hours if you read thru everything.
Today is a work day. Possible stop to check on MIL on the way home.
I think I have set up my practicum site for Fall at an Adult Day Care Center. Interview tomorrow morning. What do I wear? I haven't interviewed in almost 15 years and have a pretty casual wardrobe.
It's going to storm. It's terrible dark out and my everything hurts.

Nice pants & a tailored shirt?
flan
The rule I remember was, dress like you're going to church/synagogue, a relative's wedding, or to work in an office.
Men wear a suit and a silk tie, women dress in something comparable.
I almost rejected a female applicant because her blouse was unbuttoned too low. (Almost ... we hired her and she did a great job. But I told her to button up for the interviews in the home office.) Another was rejected by the home office interviewers because she was wearing a lot of gold jewelry.
You might ask the person who set up the interview whether you should dress in business attire, or dress like you will be when you start working there. (Casual clothes, practical shoes, etc.)

Sorry about your everything. I hope you feel better after the weather clears up.
Thanks.
Took a nap and a shower and some Tylenol. Feel a little better.

A nice pant suit or skirt suit for interviews. If you can get your hands on the employee dress code that would help tremendously.
Good luck.

Nah. The storms rolling through are causing issues.
