Morning. 4:43 am here. Haven't been to sleep yet. The trash truck just came to empty the dumpsters across the road.

So much to do today.

Hope ya'll had a great weekend.

Now back to the regularly scheduled programming.

Ended up working last night. I've had 2 hours sleep. Today is a light day so I am busting out ASAP. This might be one of those days when I drink more than a cup or two of coffee.

Today, my baby is 6. Where has the time gone? He will be in 1st grade, and my oldest in 3rd when school started next month. This is wrong. Wrong, I say! The youngest is supposed to be a baby and his brother a toddler. Sigh.......

Happy Monday, Everyone! Hope you with lack of sleep, get some good rest soon!

Wish him Happy Birthday for me!

Yeah, it is hard when the baby starts school. Enjoy these moments because the time will fly even faster now that both are in school full time.

Hugs to you, momma.

Back from the lake, still no kitchen. Grrrr...It's not going to be an easy few days. Funny how much you take your kitchen for granted...

Back to the grind until Thursday, then going back to the lake for 6 days!

Thanks, Czech! He went to full-time Pre-K and Kindergarten, so this will technically be his 3rd year at school. He's officially going to be in elementary school now. I'd love to hold them both back, from growing in general, because I am not ready. I know they are ready though, so even if the technology existed, I don't think I could bring myself to use it. Instead, we are just going to have to make as many memories as we can, while we can.

When I did my kitchen reno about 12 years ago we had totally torn everything out waiting for the cabinet delivery.  Delivery came & wrong cabinets.  Not just wrong but they couldn't do what we had submitted to them so I had to argue for a month to get my money back.  Then I had to find a place to get cabinets made.  I was without a kitchen for about 3-4 months.  It was hellish.  We had a microwave & the extra fridge/freezer that was in the garage.  I hope yours goes better.  It is so worth it in the end though.

We have a microwave and a stove, but the sink is what's really messing us up.  It's had to cook without water handy and it's not really fun washing dishes in the bathroom tub or sink.  It's amazing how much you really NEED a kitchen sink.  I thought we would be OK...nope...

Leaving Thursday to see my dd and her family this thurs. I'm so nervous. I have a ton of things to take to my granddaughters not only from me but others as well. I don't know if I have room for any of my clothes though. When my dd told my two year old soon to be 3 grand daughter that grandmom is coming she said "Oh presents for me!!" Silly little girl. I can't wait till they are back in the states.

There is an eww factor to washing dishes in the tub. Sorry, O4, but you do have my sympathy.

Most definitely.  I have not even done that.  I have washed a couple of glasses in the bathroom sink...

Yeah I remember doing that too.  At first.  Eventually I just flat out quit cooking because they unhooked the stove.  We were totally delivery & disposable everything.

O4, get a wash tub. We use to have several. They are very utilitarian.

I loved when the kids were babies. And then toddlers. And then school. I don't know, I have loved each stage more than the last. It was easier when they were younger.

Aaron is a Junior and Jesse is a Senior this year.

I'm to young to have kids this old.

Thanks Demonia. We had grown apart since I got married and moved away. She suffered from Lupus and was always in pain. One of her kids is married to one of Reba McIntyre's kids. She was a mentor and friend after my first divorce. She really helped me realize I deserved more in my life.

In the last year I've lost two friends. I know this seems silly but it makes me realize I am getting older. Both of them had serious health problems but it still makes you realize you're not going to live forever.

Thanks so much guys. She was a really sweet lady. She used to say all the time, "God don't SHOULD on you." Meaning God doesn't chit on you so stop beating yourself up. Every time one of her friends would say, "I should have..." She would say, "God don't should on you!" She was so funny. She was my mentor when I got my divorce. At the time I didn't even understand why my marriage failed so horribly other than I married a complete and utter douche bag. But she helped me realize why I married a douche bag. I had never admitted I had grown up in an abusive house either. She helped me walk through getting help to work through it. She was a truly amazing woman who touched so many lives.

Hair is cut off once again. Feels Soooo much better.

Boy I tell you what, the extreme pain has come back with a vengeance. I'm going to have to find a patch. My stomach can't take the oral meds.

Ok enough complaining.

It's really pretty out. Lots of sun and the skies are blue as can be and flowers and grass are lush. All the rain and lightning made everything brighter.

First thing my kitchen reno place did after tearing out my kitchen was to put in a temporary sink.  It was heaven.  I had a tea cart in my living room with my microwave, coffee maker, and a toaster oven.  I dealt!

Encountered extreme entitlement today. Fun!

DS is stocked up on diapers again. 180 more bundles for the landfill. Going to work on potty training soon. He knows how to sit on his potty seat and lets us know when his diaper is dirty.

Woman helps her disabled family member into the car then drives the electric cart into the cross-hatch area between the handicap spots and leaves it. It gets well over 100 here during the summer and I didn't want someone to sit on that cart and get burned so I politely asked her if she could please take the cart inside so someone doesn't burned by the seat. She copped an attitude and I asked how she'd if it were her family member that got burnt. She said she didn't care and proceeded to leave the 2 shopping carts she used IN a handicap spot.

One would think that if one has a disabled family member that one would be acutely aware of the needs of the disabled. She, sadly, missed the memo.

This did not happen at a Walmart, btw. I know Walmart has a reputation for attracting trash so figured I'd say that it didn't happen there.
