My hair is doing something really strange. Normally my hair is thin and fine. It's really smooth and easy to run fingers through. The past few days it's been feeling like there is a residue in it and it's hard to brush. It's not it's usually shiny state. I haven't put anything in it to make it this way. I thought maybe if I switched shampoos it would help. I was using Redkin for fine hair, I switched to Nutrogena. That normally gets me back on track when my shampoo stops working. It feels gross! Any suggestions?
I can understand health or diet can cause a change but this was overnight. So weird. It honestly feels like there's something in it. I'm hoping a week or so using a different shampoo will help. If it doesn't I'm going to cut it off!

I think you just need to give it some time before cutting it off!

Have you washed the pillow cases and cleaned your pillows?
Do you use those scrub caps? It could be something in that.
Are you using a new detergent or something?
Wash your hair with beer. Or dawn detergent. And then use a good conditioner.

Your hair texture changes every seven years or so is what I've heard. I used to hate my thin fly away hair. Right now my hair is so full and thick it's almost like someone elses hair.

I have friends going through the throes of post preganancy that swear by it. I still have issues even though meno was years ago, started before DD was born. Had curly thick hair, lost a lot, it came back but fine hair, thin, and now thickening up and is wavy. Wen emulates the thickness.

My hair has always been super fine. Styling falls flat within minutes regardless of using products.
Ya know what SB? I have been having the EXACT same problem. My hair feeling like there is build-up when there is no reason for it. Or feeling like I didn't rinse the conditioner out even though I specifically had the shower to fix that problem. The only thing that works is Pert Plus. There is a 2-in-1 that seems to do the trick. I don't know why ... I have no scalp issues. Weird, but works!
If my hair gets any thicker, I will need a neck brace...geez...over it...
DD has such thick hair. It's really long. She can't do anything but wear it straight and down. It takes great strength to tie it back.
I feel here. I can't wear my hair up. Gives me a raging headaches if I wear it up for more than an hour or two...I can wrap a big band around it 1 1/2 times. I have to bun it at the ends...

I vote for wash your hair with Dawn. Then condition good. Dawn will strip it clean of anything that's bogging it down.
And I am throwing you biotches down. Here goes. O B A M A

Cut it all off SB. Then you don't have to do anything to it.

I would add some baki g soda to your shampoo (like a tablespoon with the normal amount of shampoo you use) and see if that helps before buying anymore product or cutting your hair.
