A series of chilling text messages that a suicidal father sent to his increasingly panicked ex-girlfriend in the final moments before allegedly threw their baby son to his death off a bridge has emerged.
As he stood on Connecticut's Arrigoni Bridge with his seven-month-old son Aaden on Sunday night, Tony Moreno, 22, exchanged dozens of texts with his former partner, 19-year-old Adrianne Oyola.
In separate messages, he told her: 'Enjoy your new life without us', 'There is no more days [sic]' and 'You're not a parent anymore' - prompting Oyola to frantically ask about her son's whereabouts.
Moreno's then wrote: 'He's dead', followed by 'And soon I will be too.' Shortly after, the father apparently leaped from the 90ft bridge himself - having already hurled Aaden into the water below.

Scene: Moreno's then wrote: 'He's dead', followed by 'And soon I will be too.' Shortly after, the suicidal father apparently leaped from the 90ft bridge (pictured on Monday) himself - having already hurled Aaden off it
As Moreno fell silent, Oyola typed out a string of emotional messages to her ex-boyfriend, writing: 'Don't f****** talk like that,' 'You couldn't kill your own son!' and 'Please don't hurt Aaden... Please!!!'
Later that night, she was told by police that her child had likely died after Moreno's mother allegedly received a call from her adult son saying he was going to jump off the bridge, and called 911.
When officials arrived at the scene, they saw Moreno leap over the railing and plunge into the water below, it is reported. Aaden was nowhere to be seen, but his empty stroller was sat on the bridge.
Aaden's body was recovered from Connecticut River about 15 miles away from the bridge
Moreno was rescued from the water and rushed to hospital in a serious condition. Although he initially refused to speak to police in hospital, he eventually confessed to the crime, CBS reported.
An officer apparently used a basketball analogy when speaking to Moreno to establish how far he had thrown his son from the bridge's railing, and subsequently help crews to find Aaden's body.
'Tony said that it was more like a free throw distance from the railing,' the officer reported.
On Tuesday evening, Aaden's body was recovered from the Connecticut River, near East Haddam, around 15 miles from the bridge that he was allegedly hurled off just before midnight on Sunday.

His father, who is currently in an alert and stable condition at Hartford Hospital, has been charged with the murder of his young son. He is being held at the hospital on $2million bond, officials said.
The shocking text messages that he exchanged with Oyola, who lives in Middletown, Connecticut, in the minutes leading up to the alleged murder were published by Fox CT on Thursday.
At one point in the exchange, Oyola told Moreno: 'Good night I'll talk to you tomorrow or Tuesday.'
Her ex-boyfriend bluntly replied: 'No you won't.'
At another point, Moreno told Oyola he had tried to speak to her but she hadn't listened. 'Just remember you wanted to play games and lie and be childish when I tried to reach out,' he wrote.
In response, his ex-girlfriend told him she had really tried to 'make this co-parent thing work'.
It comes as it has emerged that Middletown Police Department officers applied for an arrest warrant for Moreno on June 25 over an alleged violation of a restraining order - but had it sent back.

'Abusive': On June 17, Oyola successfully applied for a restraining order against her then-boyfriend, claiming Moreno had acted violently toward her. She appeared in court again on June 29 and asked the judge to extend the order. But this time, Superior Court Judge Barry Pinkus. Above court papers from the June 29 hearing

Oyola, pictured, have obtained a restraining order against her former partner Moreno but this was lifted on June 29
They were told to make revisions, Lt. Heather Desmond told CBS.
The warrant was finally signed this week - but Aaden was already dead.
Oyola, who lived with Moreno and his family until June 17, reportedly told police officers that she and her ex-boyfriend had not been getting along in the months leading up to Sunday's incident.
She applied for a restraining order against her then-boyfriend on June 17, claiming Moreno had acted violently toward her, hidden her graduation dress and made threats involving their baby son.
'He has told me he could make my son disappear anytime of the day,' she told the court. 'He told me how he could make me disappear, told me how he could kill me. I sometimes am scared to sleep. He told me he would put me in the ground and put something on me to make me disintegrate faster.'
She added that Moreno would often slap her and verbally abuse her by calling her 'ugly' or 'stupid'.

The restraining order was granted on a temporary basis, KDVR reported.
However, on June 29, Oyola appeared in court again and asked the judge to extend the order.
'He's constantly... calling me names, constantly shoving me around and just abusive,' she said.
This time, Superior Court Judge Barry Pinkus denied her request, court documents show.
He ruled that the pair needed to 'figure out' their relationship for Aaden's sake and 'grow up and deal with each other as adults' - but did not find that there was no imminent threat to Oyola or Aaden.
In his ruling, Judge Pinkus said: 'I think the two of you don't have a good relationship. I'm just not convinced that there's a continuous threat of present physical pain of physical injury.'
Oyola and Moreno subsequently agreed on a custody plan themselves. However, Oyola was not happy with one element in it - which led to their text message argument on Sunday night, she said.

Gathering: Neighbors and friends gather to reflect and pray for Aaden outside his home following his death
The pair texted each other for just under 25 minute before the fatal incident.
Spesaking to the Harford Courant after Aaden's death, State Senator Mae Flexer condemned the court's June 29 ruling, saying: 'This tragedy was preventable and I am again calling for increased training requirements for all judges and court personnel who work with victims of domestic violence.
'For years I have been working to increase training requirements for judges and any such requirements have been met with great resistance by the Judicial Branch.
'Failure to protect this baby when the signs were so clear is unacceptable.'
Lt. Desmond said police officers' thoughts 'are with Aaden and his family at this time of sorrow'.
Moreno is also charged with two counts of violating a restraining order.
Some people are just so evil it boggles my mind. That poor mother and child. I hope he burns in hell! Not very Christian of me I know.
I agree. And I don't care what his reasons were.

This is beyond horrifying. That poor baby and that poor mother. I can't imagine how helpless she felt reading those texts. I can't imagine the despair and pain she's feeling.
It's too bad the scumbag of a sperm donor lived. He ought to be fitted for a pair of cement shoes and thrown off that bridge.

I agree. With all of it. I read it earlier and had to shut down the computer and check out for a while. THe mother and baby.. It's hurts to think about it. I can't even imagine what she is going through.
Get rid of him. fast. In the town square. Maybe LGS has the right idea. That might deter more people from acting out their evil while saving tax payer money.

Yes.
I cried reading it. I think the feeling of helplessness would've killed me. I can't imagine the mother's desperation in wanting to get to her son.
That poor little boy and mother. I can't even imagine what she is going thru.
