Today is a pretty good day. Weather is almost perfect, Sunny, slightly humid and around 90ish.

It is also National French Fry Day. So I went to Chickie and Pete's at the local casino. They have wonderful crab fries with cheese sauce.  They are also doing a fundraiser for it.  Head over to Chickie's and Pete's today for $1 Crabfries and $5 personal Miller Lite pitchers. All proceeds from Crabfries and personal Miller Lite pitchers will go to the Philadelphia FOP Survivor's Fund.  So, I had crab fries and crab bisque.  I was slightly disappointed that there was no crab in my soup (they must have not stirred the pot and took off the top, it's usually loaded).  My disappointment went away when I decided to start playing $20 at the slots.  I walked away a little over $300 ahead.

Haven't checked in much today. Been very busy with work. I am loving the new job just lots to do and learn. My companion set up for DD is working wonderfully this summer. She gets to sleep in, has an older girl come to be with her, but one young enough to want to go outside and play and walk the dog. plus DD goes to flute lessons with her and gets her own flute lesson. Huge change to our routine, but not a bad one.

We have a few of those here.  They would probably gross a lot of you out.  They serve everything family style.  You may be at a table of 8 and know only one person...but LORD, do they have good food...

 Ok so this will date me.  But 20 years ago I worked for a company in Boston, on the third floor above the Commonwealth Brewery.  One Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we had lunch there.  The tables were picnic style only made out of copper.  We were seated and, apparently, so was Red Auerbach, planning Larry Byrd's retirement shingdig.  My boss wanted to switch seats with me.  I didn't do it,  I knew I was "hearing" history even though I didn't care about the Celtics at the time.

 210 pounds of dog in one Jeep with two boys and us was too much.  Now add all that to the exam room plus a vet and three techs.  Insane.

I love it when the kids do that! Recently a friend of mine was saying her husband was upset because the kids came to her about everything and he felt left out. She is a SAHM so naturally the kids kind of ask her stuff. She wanted to know how to make her DH feel loved and part of the feeling. I told her to make a shopping list, take the kids with, and get everything on the list while breaking up all the "He touched me!" fights. He won't want to be quite so loved after that!

LOL! Exactly!

DH used to stick his foot in his mouth regularly. He'd get pissy when he'd come home and dinner wasn't done yet. He didn't believe that DS could be such a pain on some days that things just don't get done. I took a 'me' day back in February and was out for about 6 hours. DH gained a complete understanding of what it's like to have a toddler's undivided attention that day. He hasn't complained about stuff not getting done since.
