KK has always been a special treat. Of course we have them in all the stores. But a hot, fresh doughnut is divine.

I don't like Krispy Kreme. DH loves them. We have a place here named Bosa. Soooooo good!

The last couple times we went, DS turned on the charm and got a free donut hole.

I only like donuts when they're fresh. Can't stand the ones in the store that have been sitting around for a day. And the ones in the packages by the bread? Disgusting. Should not be allowed to be called food.

And it's so disappointing to get a glazed donut and you bite into it and the glaze CRUMBLES!! WTF? Glaze is NOT supposed to CRUMBLE. If my glaze is crumbly my donut is too old.

Dad calls them calypso doughnuts.

Cause they're a day-o d-d-day-o...

I like a day old doughnut too.

And the donettes by the bread.

I do not like cake doughnuts.

I just remembered, mawmaw and my uncle use to make and sell doughnuts. Pawpaw bought one of those carney trailer things. They would set up at Red Top Mt. flea market on the weekends.

I never had one. Strange.

We have one krispy cream in Seattle, that's the only one I know of around here. I had it once, wasn't too impressed. But I don't like sweets in general.

A new donut place just opened here called Duck Donuts. Apparently they make plain donuts & then you choose your glaze flavor & toppings. I'm not terribly interested. I wish it was a Krispy Kreme. But I guess my hips should be glad it's not.

 We don't. Ours closed. The doughnuts are still shipped in boxes to the store, but it isn't the same as when the light was on and you could get them warm.
