They get very little traffic because they're mostly boring. Obviously lot's of people like these threads so why would you want them to stop?

OK, well, here's the catch-22 on that one. If people such as yourself and Tang would post more on the other threads that are not getting as much traffic, people would have more to respond to. So, your excuse that this one gets more traffic - YOU are part of that traffic.

I personally would prefer to talk about many other things, those fizzle out fast because not many people respond. So, if the complaint is that other threads need more traffic, WHY do the people that claim to want those threads barely touch them?

But that's what most of your posts are these days. You come in to either defend your friends when they have put themselves in a situation of their own making.

If that's how you feel about my posts, (and I still disagree, most of my posts are not "defending my friends") then why don't you take your own advice and don't read them? There must be hundreds of other posts to read every day from other people, why don't you just gloss over mine? Notice how I have a super bright avatar that kind of stands out? Maybe when you see it you can just scroll on by.

It seems being a Christian is the problem.

Because it isn't only the Christians posting Bible verses, and it isn't the Christians who are telling others not to talk about or discus the Bible.

And a Christian who does point out or posts something contrary to the general secular view, well they just ain't being very Christian like and are hating.

Kind of like what's happening in the real world. It's now here in the cyber world.

After the Supreme Court decision, there were AT LEAST 3 different threads on page 1...and other threads that managed to change topic & discuss SSM.

I don't know why people can't admit what is in front of their eyes.

How is she the "victim" here? We were all getting along just fine debating our normal stuff. SHE is the one had issues with OTHERS quoting the Bible and talking about what THEY wanted to talk about. Same old thing. Attack, then retreat, then pretend to be the wounded one as if you had no part in it. Sheesh. She is free to start posts of her liking, contribute how she sees fit and say whatever the heck she wants to say. But, likewise, if someone wants to quote the Bible then that is their prerogative too.

ed, this is NOT a criticism, so please don't take it that way--but a lot of your threads don't lend themselves well to a lot of responses. A lot of them seem more like informational posts and not so much discussion posts.

Depends.

I know some who are really great guys and I know some who are total douches.

As for attracting those guys, I generally just pulled up beside them with mine and revved the engine.

Or when I wasn't in my car I would talk about theirs and they would usually let me drive it.

Around here, you either had a musclear car, a four wheel drive or motorcycle.

So it was pretty common.

I also was friends with a local drag racing champion. So that got me close to the action too.

Also had a few granadas, a camero, and several others.

My dad bought, sold and traded cars for a long time. My grandfather was an auctioneer and all my uncles have run car lots.

I'd get a car on Sunday morning, clean it up, drive it for two days or sometimes a month, just depended, and come in from school and dad say "give me your keys, I sold the car". Next day I'd have another.

There isn't much I haven't had.
