Nobody DARE post anything controversial on this thread.  That includes religion, politics, abortion, sexual orientation, race, or anything else someone might get offended by.

Consider it a challenge.  Good luck.

Sweet, TD!   If things keep progressing with R, I'll end up with two ready-made baby girl grands! 'A' is 9 months and 'L' is 2 weeks old.

Don't you hate when that happens?  I had 2 amazing healthy go to spots that I went to 2 times a week each.  One day, I drove there, got out of my car, and the door was locked.  Happened twice in a couple of months...

I'm fat because of them...so they get the blame...

Ha!  This place was in business for 30 years.  It wasn't authentic Mexican but it was good & reasonably priced.  One day our waitress was crying & told us it was her last day & hugged us good bye.  We didn't know the restaurant closed until my friend's son saw it on FB.  I found another that is pretty good but it is in an old building & apparently the A/C doesn't work too well.  I was sweating all through lunch so not going back until Winter.

 Challenge failed.  Figures.

Give people what they claim to want, and you still get bitched at.

How is this for good service?

I've been up north for a while. Before I left, I asked my lawn crew to baby the new sod, until they thought it was ready to be mowed.

They come on Thursdays.

Today, I happened to glance out, and low and behold, they are still babying the sod.

They trimmed it with the weed eater, rather than run the mower over it.

I was amazed!

I really think they can mow it now.wink

Talk about going the extra mile.

I love my lawn service!smile

I guess Mexican hasn't made it across your border yet.  I wish our Mexican places would deliver.

I've never had pho.  We have two places close that I know of, just haven't tried it.

I'm super excited! Our hideous fence is getting stained right now! And we are fixing the foundation next week, so soon I will be able to paint.

We've been in this house 4 years and only redone one room so far. More progress will be made soon!

Hi Lexxy! We have a few Mexican eateries, but not a lot. You know what food I really miss since I moved back home from the US?

CORNBREAD!

Oh wow I didn't know you ever lived in the states.  Considering the things you know how to cook I doubt cornbread would be too difficult unless they don't sell cornmeal in CA.  I bet one of the southerners here has a good recipe.

I married an American and lived there for about five and a half years.

Yeah, I'm a pretty good cook, and should look into making it myself. I need a good recipe.

This place is awash in wood-burning-oven bagels, croissants and baguettes, but no cornbread. Not the sweetish, yellow kind. I love that stuff.
